API Signup Instructions

Pixabay
1. Go to http://pixabay.com/en/accounts/register/
2. Register by filling in the needed information. It is recommended to use your Facebook,
Google or Microsoft account so that you get activated right away. No need to wait for a
confirmation email. In this example, we will use a Microsoft account:

3. Allow pixabay.com access to your information:

4. After clicking on Yes, you should be able to log into Pixabay immediately.
5. While logged in, go to this URL: http://pixabay.com/api/docs/. The page contains your

API key. Click on Show API key to display it.

6. Copy your username and API key and then paste it on WP Beautify > Images > Pixabay

7. Once done, click on the Save all Changes button right below the Twitter API details. You
will get a notification if your API key is incorrect. Make sure that there are no spaces.

Flickr

1. Sign up for a Flickr account here: https://www.flickr.com/signup/. Flickr is also part of
Yahoo!. Use your Yahoo! account if you already have one. Otherwise, signing up for a
Yahoo! account is pretty straightforward.

2. Once done, sign in here: https://www.flickr.com/signin/
3. While logged in, go to this URL: https://www.flickr.com/services/api/keys/
4. You will need to create an app before you can obtain your API key. Go here to create

your first app: https://www.flickr.com/services/apps/create/apply/
5. Choose APPLY FOR A NON-COMMERCIAL KEY

6. Fill in the required details:

7. After clicking on SUBMIT, you will be sent to a page containing your API key and secret.
8. Copy your key and paste it on WP Beautify > Images > Flickr.
9. Your Flickr Username is your Yahoo! ID. You can find it in Flickr > Settings > Your

account > Personal Information > Your Yahoo! account.
10. Click on the Save all Changes button right below the Twitter API details. WP Beautify will

notify you if your key is invalid. Make sure that there are no spaces and that your
Username is correct.

Dropbox

1. Sign up for a Dropbox account if you don’t already have one.
2. Login to your Dropbox account and go here: https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps

3. Click on Create app.

4. Choose Drop-ins app and name it whatever you want. For example, name it wpbeautify.
Agree to the Terms to proceed to the next step:

5. After clicking on the Create app button once again, you will be shown a page containing
your App key. Copy your App key and paste it on WP Beautify > Images > Dropbox.

6. Click on Save all Changes right below the Twitter API details.

Facebook
1. Sign up for a Facebook if you don’t have one yet.
2. Facebook needs to verify your account before you can register as a developer. You can
get verified either by putting your phone number or your credit/debit card information.
3. Once done, login to your Facebook account and go here:
https://developers.facebook.com/
4. Go to Apps > Register as a Developer

5. Accept the Terms and click on Register.
6. Once done, click on Apps > Create a New App

7. Name your app (for example, wpbeautify) and choose any category. Then click on
Create App. Fill in the required details if you encounter a Security Check.

8. Copy your App ID and App Secret then paste it on WP Beautify > Images > Facebook.
9. Click on Authorize. Sign in to Facebook if you’re not signed in yet.

Google+

1. Sign up for a Google Account if you don’t already have one.
2. Once done, go to WP Beautify > Images > Google+ and click on Authorize.
3. If you’re already logged in to your Google Account, you will be asked to allow Picasa

Web Albums:

4. Click on Grant access. Otherwise, you will be asked to log into your Google Account
first.

5. If successful, you will be directed back to the WP Beautify page.
6. The application can also be seen from your Google Account > Security > Account

permissions > View All. It will have a description like Has access to Picasa Web Albums.

Pinterest
1. Sign up for a Pinterest account if you don’t already have one. You can use your
Facebook account to register. Otherwise, register using your email address.

2. Sign in to the email account you used to register and click on the confirmation link from
the email sent by Pinterest:

3. Once confirmed, just key in the email address you used to sign up for Pinterest in WP
Beautify > Images > Pinterest.

4. Click on Save all Changes right below the Twitter API details.

Instagram
1. Sign up for an Instagram account if you don’t already have one. Instagram only allows
signups from its iOS, Android and Windows Phone apps. You can register using your
Facebook account or an email address. You may download the Instagram app for your
device here:

○ Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instagram.android
○ Windows Phone: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/instagram-

2. Once registered, go to this URL and log in to your instagram account from your PC:
https://instagram.com/accounts/login/?next=/developer/register/#
3. Fill up the required information. See the example below:

4. After clicking on the Sign up button, you’ll be sent to the Developer page. Click on
Register Your Application then click again on Register a New Client.

5. You will be asked for an Application Name, Description, Website and OAuth redirect uri.
Your Website will be your domain name (ex. http://wpbeautify.com). WP Beautify should
have already provided you with a Redirect URL in WP Beautify > Images > Instagram.
See the sample image below:

6. Leave the rest to their default setting, enter the Captcha key, and then click on Register.
7. Once done, you will be sent to a page containing your Client ID and Client Secret.
8. Copy and paste them onto WP Beautify > Images > Instagram, then click on Authorize.

9. Allow WP Beautify access:

10. If successful, you will be sent back to the WP Beautify page.

Twitter
1. Sign up for a Twitter account if you don’t already have one.



3. Once confirmed, go to this URL: https://apps.twitter.com/ and click on Create New App.
4. Fill in the required details, agree to the Developer Rules and click on Create your Twitter

application (Website = your http://yourdomain.com):

5. Once done, you will be sent to a page containing your API key. From that page, click on
manage API keys. You will then see your API key and API secret. Copy and paste them
onto WP Beautify > Images > Twitter.

6. Also on the same page, you will be able to create your Access Token. Click on Create
my access token.

7. You should see this message afterwards:

8. After clicking on Refresh, you’ll be able to view your Access token and Access token
secret. Copy and paste them onto WP Beautify > Images > Twitter.
