Sandy Li: A True Story.
It was a very exciting day but unexpected we
had got a new pet! A cute little puppy from
the Bondi Junction Pet Store. I had absolutely
no idea that it would happen. I burst open the
door with all of Sandy's new things she would
need for the next few years of her life. She was
a brand-new family member, so mum decided
to put her in the big bathroom connected to a
room that was empty. She still needed puppy training, so she wasn’t allowed to go free yet. We had to wait until she was older to give her the freedom of "Roaming around the house".
The first few days we trained her how to sit and leave it. Tons of friends came over to see her, it was very overwhelming. She was getting better at puppy training too, since it was lockdown, we had lots of time to train her. We figured out that Sandy was a feisty and playful puppy even though she was very small for her breed. The hardest to train was she come call command, so we spent
lots of time on that one... When we finished training the basic skills, we ended up training tricks like high five, shake and even roll over! Sandy was very skinny but athletic she was the fastest runner out of the three of her friends. Whenever we came home, she would go CRA-ZEE She was wagging
her tail and jumped on me because she was SOOO happy.
She loved to eat meat and treat but sometimes that wouldn't even work so we had to use toys, sometimes when she got bored, she chewed on my pencils and that was a lot of them. That is why we had to remember to not put things on the floor so we could prevent anything bad from happening. Over just ten

weeks she started to have more freedom and roam around the house. Since she was a Cavoodle, she was very friendly and was easy to care for as a first experience puppy. Sandy was a very admirable puppy and a cute companion. She at every little but pooed a LOT.
Sandy loved to bark. Since dogs have good hearing, every time someone or something came near our front door
she would bark and run to the black door (because the door to the front garden was always open so Sandy could go to the toilet.) At home there was a special signal from Sandy if she ever wanted to go to the toilet. She would usually start smelling the carpet or bark and so mum knew to put her outside in the front garden or the balcony.
Sandy was an easy pup to care for and was very healthy but sometimes had diarrhea so that’s when mum would take her to the vet. It was very important that we treated Sandy with respect so she could trust us and so it wouldn’t cause bad problems and that’s exactly what we did, and it ended all very well.
Dogs make The Best Pets
Dogs make very good pets because they help you to exercise; when you have a dog you always need to take it out for a walk no matter what breed, when you take the dog out you walk to, so that’s plenty of exercise. Dogs bring joy to people’s lives not just because of their fluffy fur or their cute tricks but because dogs are great friends when dogs grow their relationship with you then it will follow you around all day bringing you to feel safe and secure. Your dog may not be able to speak but they can understand your emotions and feelings. When you are happy, they try making it even happier; when you are sad, they try bringing happiness and joy.
Whilst cats, fish, etc.... they just sit there trying to catch your attention. -5-

Dogs make good pets because it helps people to learn and fully understand things. For example, when you clean up after a dog you are learning how to clean up. Dogs teach humans many things, I have had a experience with a dog before and it taught me a very important lesson, love. In the end when your dog is gone up to heaven you will truly understand how much you loved it and that is the same with all loved pets.
dogs are easy pets to care for because after a few weeks of training they know everything and are used to it, so they actually LISTEN! Dogs are good and when it’s the right time they will do anything to protect what they love and that is family. Dogs have so many different breeds that there is a perfect dog for any type of family. Speaking of different breeds each breed of dog has its own characteristics or personalities, but they are all good ones for example loyalty, friendly, loving etc. Dogs have SOOO many reasons that they make the best pets, soft fur good personalities and more!
A dog can really change your life from small things like having a companion to big things like a lifesaving K9. Lots of people have their lives changed because of a dog and sometimes a dog knows exactly what to do when there is a threat without needing to be trained. It is their instinct and DNA to protect their loved ones.
Conclusion
Now you know that when you’re going to be choosing your best friend for life it is a very big responsibility and so it is essential that you pick the perfect pup for you.
