Whales are the biggest animal in the world ，it size was SOOO
BIG that it was as big as an airplane . It lives in the sea and ocean, but unlike many animals that live in ocean, whales were not a type of fish, it a type of mammal. Also, unlike many fish, Whales use lungs to breathe.

It has many reasons that Whales are huge. The longest whale had 30 meters and the heaviest whale in the world was 200 tons!
Whales are also a good swimmer, it has two long fins called flukes, and it have two flippers to turn and stop. A whales can swim 20 miles (32 km) per hours!
Whales can go to deep, cold, because they have a thing that on their skin called blubber, it helps whales keep warm from cold water.


Do you know dauphins? Usually, whales are much like dauphins, but they have some different so we can know who they are.
Dauphin and whale’s skin color both are gray, black, and blue. And they both are mammal. But if you see them very near, you could find whale is bigger than dauphin, also, whales are social animal, it means they live together. But dauphins are not, they are smaller than whales, but they are smarter than the whales, so many dauphins are living on their own
Another thing that they are different, their food is different. Dauphins eat fish and ink fish, whales eat fish, mollusk, zooplankter, some type of whales also eat seal.


Like many animals, most whales live in groups. A group of whales are called pod, it have 4-40 whales, they do not talk , they sing to communicate . Most whales live in groups, some migrate, but when fall come, all the whales will swim to warm water, when spring come , they
swim to cold water. FACT!

Whales are less than many animals because their mother whale only can have one baby whale at a time, the baby whale need to stay with their parent up to one year. They born know how to swim, so there parents do not teach them . After one year , the baby whale need to leave their parents and start their own life . A whale can live for 40 to 85 in the wild.


Whales have two types. One is teeth whale, one is baleen whale, teeth whale use teeth to eat food, like killer whale, Beluga whale. baleen whale uses a thing call to eat food, baleen is like a big net that in the whale’s mouth
Teeth whales eat squid, fish, and seals. Baleen whales eat small ocean animals, fish, and plankton.
There are 38 types of whales in. the world, 25 kinds of whales are teeth whale, 13 kinds of whales are baleen whale.
