In 2017, I was admitted to study at the Faculty of Architecture at Kathmandu University, the best university in Nepal. Currently, I graduated before 1 month, I have experienced many projects so far and am looking for more projects in the future. For the last four years, I have been interested in the design field and looking forward to other aspects. In addition, I have tried many ways to experience new things physically and perceptually. At Kathmandu University, we have always created physical models to study the relationship between 2D and 3D. And in recent years, technology has been added as part of the classroom, allowing anyone to learn and try new programs that lead to new things. For my skills, I can work on AutoCAD, Sketchup, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop, Indesign etc. And furthermore, I did my internship here in Dubai at DFYN design firm for 4 months Most of all, some of my works were collected through this portfolio, so everyone can take a look- easily. Finally, I hope that at least one of my projects can make you look up to me very soon. You can contact me via email at [email protected]. Best regards Smriti Adhikari

With response to the shift in technology, the classroom of the future will evolve with the best learning practice. The change in educational approach at unprecedented rate will soon outdate the traditional system where books will be replaced by learning tablets, Blackboards and whiteboards will be replaced by visual screen which runs through software, students will be educated through collaborative learning rather than traditional isolated method. Flexibility of furniture will allow different configuration in learning. And students will be able to visualize the ideas through virtual reality and holograms. The concept is mainly guided by the idea of both active and passive learning method through technologies like use of learning tablets, visual screens, virtual reality and Holograms. The learning pattern is defined by isolated/collaborative learning, open discussion ,and presentation/performances through flexible furniture that can be moved and rearranged according to what is convenient. The plastic waste management could be the major challenge of the future which has already begun. Also, lack of providing sustainable solutions towards resource efficiency to maintain economic society, and ecological balance, could be the another major challenges for the future. Plastic waste can be recycled and converted into sustainable green building materials. Using plastic as a binding agent makes the building blocks more sturdy and less brittle. Vernacular approach towards building materials like Bamboo, Timber, stones can reduce carbon footprint impact in the future scenario by pushing towards sustainability.
