What is that thing in the sand?

Is it a rock? No. 2
Is it a crab? No.
It is an egg.

Clink thunk crack! The egg splits and
cracks on the sand.

In the egg is a baby sea turtle. It blinks
in the sun. It swings up onto the sand.

There are lots of small sea turtles on
the sand.

The baby sea turtles think,”Where
are mom and dad?”

Their mom and dad sea turtles are in
the sea.

The small sea turtles think, “Where is the
sea?”

It is a long way on the sand to the sea.

Together, they all try to run for the sea.

Two sink into the sand and two get lost.

The rest get to the sea.

Plink! They jump in and sink into the sea.

The baby sea turtles swim to their moms
and dads. They all swim together!
