Stage Competition proposal

A design of proposed derelict site to prevent spaces to be
forgotten. The process of the proposal to allow the town
people to see suggestive option that has been produce to
create an essential space in the town. The initial highlight
space is existing that need to be looked at for assessment.
The proposal design is a teaching space for the students
in the town to allow them to visualise the materials and
understand in the working of a construction project.

Large ceremonial space and smaller ceremonial space bothe
inter-locked by the circulation which wraps around the
whole building. The theory behind the design is to inhabit
the space surrounded by two larege colonnade of columns.
The Spaces are design has open spaces so the interaction
of each individual in evident in their use of the space and
movement through the spaces. The significance of burying
the smaller seremonial space into the ground is so people

Long corridor like floor plan with beautiful high ceiling and
an impressive client who was willing to go to the extreme to
ensure that when people enters the space, it will not be one
they would forget. Exposed brickwork and internal timber
lath, the area, give a shell of warmth and security. White oak
ceiling battens and beautifully stained floor

One space with Four showroom on 5th AVE in Manhattan.
Showroom that would give clients opportunity to become
familiar with materials and products that will be used in
their house.
The ideas is to create a space that flows: it provides and
encourages people to interact and integrate the existing. The
area is fiscally(and functionally) divides the stripes, which
overlap with each other in two directions,and thus creating a
diverse situation which suites to the needs/program

MULLINGAR SCHOOL

Year 2013
Location Mullingar, Ireland
Stage Thesis project

The large site for the proposed school was situated south Physical Model of proposed design
of Mullingar. It was tight parkland that rested between the
county council office and commercial railway station. The
main concept for the school is a gradual dis-integration
of a formal classroom and the informal corridor space.
The structure become quiet expressive within the building
and on the elevation. The school is mostly open plan with
isolated rooms pulled away from each other. The elimination
of doors in the occupied was the main ambition allowing
the integration of movement throughout the building. The
ceiling is identifying with the lateral plan of the structure
and the expression of the horizontal beams.

The proposal to create a linear layout to the spaces and form
a core connection in the centre of the building.
The material used on the internal finish is an acoustic timber
laths that is fixed back to a service void and a non-structural
skin (200 Sip panel).

The external finish is horizontal timber cladding rail system
fixed back to fibreboard and main system. The building is
design to be naturally ventilated from the window open and
the roof opening, because the building does not exceed the
building regulation for single sided ventilation.

The understanding of the environment can inform how to
investigate. The environment at a macro and micro-scale
and interrogation of the design is delivered a successful in
the project.

This project involved careful study of use of space at a variety
of scales and how that related to a wider urban context.
