1. turn on
Meaning:
To activate or make the equipment work by pressing a
button or moving a switch

Example:

2. shut down
Meaning:
To deactivate or make an equipment stop working by
pressing a button or moving a switch

Example:
Could you please help me to shut down my laptop?
3. download
Meaning:
To transfer the data or files from one location to
another

Example:
He was asked to download the files before attending
the forum.
4. Upload
Meaning:
To copy or move programs or information to Internet
or another computer system

Example:
I will upload the documents to the company system
before going back.
5. change
Meaning:
To make difference

Example:
The system is asking me to change my password for
security purpose.

6. install
Meaning:
Place or fix (software or program) in position ready to
use
Example:
The laptop seller had suggested us to install an anti-
virus program.

7. press
Meaning:
An action of pressing or pushing

Example:
Please press the “SPACE BAR” button to pause the
video.
8. attach
Meaning:
To include a separate document with an electronic
message

Example:
I had attached the students’ name list in the email.

Meaning:
To move the content up or down across a display
screen

Example:

Meaning:
To remove or eliminate something

Example:

downloaded earlier on.

System failure or become unsuccessful causing
damage

Example:

Meaning:
To move a piece of content to a particular place in a
computer document

Example:

it into a blank page.

Meaning:
To keep or store something important

Example:
We should save our work regularly to avoid losing any
information in case the laptop shuts down.

Meaning:
An action of produce writing or images on paper with
a machine

Example:

the meeting starts.
