“The children’s book we’ve waited for.”

—Mantra Wellness

Welcome
to Master Diplo’s Jurassic
School of Yoga. I’m Master Diplo!
What do we do here? Every day, we try to get to
know ourselves a little better, to love each other,
and to overcome the things that make us

feel bad, together.

Look at REX; he gets angry easily, and it’s really hard for him to stay calm! And have you
seen RAPTOR? No? I bet you haven’t, he’s so fast you probably haven’t even noticed him;
he should really take a break every once in a while! TRIXIE, on the other hand, is often too
still; she is very calm and patient, but she also has a lot of trouble concentrating and being
with others. And DACTYLA? She has a shy nature, and is always worried about not being

good enough, or not being liked by others. These are some big problems, right?

But yoga can help all of them; try it yourself and discover poses
and meditations meant to transform our difficulties into energy and strength!

LET’S BEGIN!

REX RAPTOR TRIXIE DACTYLA

Peaceful Warrior Pose

While my armored body can make me seem threatening, I’m actually a peaceful vegetarian.
Although, sometimes, I do feel the weight of my horns. Master Diplo has taught me how to make
my body stronger!
Try doing it with me. Stand with your back straight; now, stretch your right leg back and rotate
your foot outwards. Bend your left knee, then run your right hand down your right thigh. While
breathing in, raise your left arm skyward and backwards. Keep your head very still, as if you have
my triceratops collar there to support it!

TAKE A LONG STEP BACK WITH BEND YOUR LEFT KNEE, BRINGING SLIDE YOUR RIGHT HAND DOWN
YOUR RIGHT LEG, AND TURN YOUR IT INTO LINE WITH YOUR FOOT. YOUR RIGHT THIGH. BREATHE IN,

BACK FOOT OUTWARDS. BREATHE IN AND RAISE YOUR LEFT EXPANDING YOUR CHEST
ARM, EXTENDING IT FIRST TOWARDS AND YOUR HEART SPACE.
REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE.
YOUR OTHER ARM AND THEN
BACKWARDS. YOUR BACK IS ARCHED.

Hand Over Big Toe Pose

My front legs are very short, I know, so short that I can’t even touch the tips of my toes. Master
Diplo has a solution for everything, though! To help me in this balance pose, he has suggested that
I use a flexible but resistant vine.
Maybe you can already reach your toes with your arms, but try doing it like me. Stand up, lift your
left foot and, if you like, pass your vine (a jump rope or soft belt works, too) under your foot. Extend
your left leg forward and, at the same time, stretch your right arm upwards, taking care to feel
strong and active. Keeping your gaze steady on a specific point in front of you is a great help to
maintain your balance!

YOUR RIGHT LEG, LIFT YOUR YOUR SPINE.
LEFT FOOT AND LOOP YOUR

ROPE UNDER YOUR FOOT.

Met ta, Loving
Kindness Meditat ion

I love my friends very much and, thanks to Master Diplo, I have learned to transform the energy I
used to put into anger into love and kindness, which I can then transmit to those close to me.

Let’s try together! Sit down with your legs crossed. Now, let’s focus on our breathing; we must
be calm in order to notice the air that enters and leaves our body. Breathing in, I bring light into
me; breathing out, I bring peace inside myself. Let’s shift our focus to our hearts, and decide to be
loving towards ourselves and towards others.

Mentally, I repeat these words, addressing them first to myself:

May I be safe.
May I be healthy and strong.
May I be happy.
May I be serene and at ease.

Then, I can continue to spread love to everyone around me:

May you be safe.
May you be healthy and strong.
May you be happy.
May you be serene and at ease.

Sideward Plank Pose

If you were capable of holding that last pose, great job! This pose is similar to that one because you
need to focus on your breath while your body works hard to balance.
Try it with me! From Plank Pose, slowly rotate to the right side, observe the Jurassic world around
you, and smile a big smile! Try keeping your balance by supporting yourself with your right hand
and the outer part of your right foot. Your body must be strong and straight as a rod, your head
and your gaze rotate towards your left hand, which is raised to the sky. You’ll be able to overcome
the fatigue caused by this pose by concentrating on the rhythm of your breath.

IN PLANK POSE, RAISE YOUR LEFT KEEP YOUR BALANCE AND THEN TURN YOUR GAZE TOWARDS YOUR
ARM AND ROTATE TO THE RIGHT EXTEND YOUR ARM RAISED HAND. THEN, REPEAT ON

SIDE SO THAT YOUR CHEST IS TO A VERTICAL POSITION. THE OTHER SIDE, ONCE MORE
FACING FORWARD. THE EXTERNAL PASSING THROUGH PLANK POSE.
SIDE OF YOUR RIGHT FOOT MUST BE

FIRMLY ON THE GROUND,
WITH YOUR LEFT FOOT RESTING

ON TOP OF IT.

Neck Movement s

Bending my long neck to the ground isn’t as easy as when I was a young dinosaur. Do you happen
to know any adults with my same problem? Let me teach you a few movements that you can show
them! Try them out on yourself first.

1 SIT WITH YOUR BACK STRAIGHT AND PERFECTLY 2 BEND YOUR HEAD TO ONE SIDE, BRING YOUR
ALIGNED. BREATHING IN, RAISE UP YOUR HEAD EAR CLOSE TO YOUR SHOULDER. KEEP YOUR

AND CHIN, AND LOOK AT THE SKY. BREATHE SHOULDERS STILL AND RELAXED. NOW, BEND

OUT AND BEND YOUR HEAD FORWARD UNTIL YOUR HEAD TO THE OTHER SIDE SO THAT

YOUR CHIN IS TOUCHING YOUR CHEST. YOUR OTHER EAR IS CLOSE TO YOUR OTHER

SHOULDER.

3 SLOWLY ROTATE YOUR HEAD TO THE RIGHT 4 ROTATE YOUR HEAD IN A UNIFORM AND
AND THEN TO THE LEFT, UNTIL YOUR CHIN RELAXED CIRCULAR MOTION. THEN, REPEAT

IS ALIGNED WITH YOUR SHOULDER. ROTATE THIS ROTATION A FEW TIMES IN THE OTHER

AS YOU BREATHE OUT AND RETURN TO THE DIRECTION.

CENTER AS YOU BREATHE IN.
