TEMPLE OF THE EMERALD BUDDHA

Ten yeas ago, on the edge of a lawn, I sat by the footway facing this magnificent golden structure.
The most revered dwelling and the temple of the King; the Grand Palace and the Temple of
Emerald Buddha, Thailand’s most revered and precious religious icon.

LIFE BY THE RIVER
Rivers are what made history and
livelihood of Thailand, particularly
Chao Phraya River in the central
region. Also known as the River of
Kings, it is the blood line feeding
culture and source of life for
Thailand’s capital and the country in
all aspect.
Thai life is never far from water; it’s
just the matter of big or small. A boat
trip along river and klong (canal)
brings you hundred of yeas back for
a glimpse of hearts and souls of all
Thais, past and future.

Houses on stilts extend over the edge of water. Long wooden ladders link each household to Broad stroke drawing provides opportunity for creation of easy and effective visual

Rama VIII Bridge is a suspended bridge with the single structural A distant view of one of the many bridges now crossing Chao

BRIDGES OVER THE RIVER OF KINGS

Chao Praya River
Central Bangkok, excluding its 5 more surrounding provinces which makes it Greater Bangkok, is
a living place of around 8 and a half million people, counted some 5 years ago. Bangkok has a
blood line called Chao Praya River runs through our hearts. We love Chao Praya River and Chao
Praya River loves us.
We don’t leave Bangkok not because we got stuck in traffic jam but because we love our river,
and we don’t complain if we should get stuck while travelling by boat on the river.
I did a sketch of one of the major river pier while enjoying the lively commotion of the afterwork
life.
