The Patterson’s of East Tennessee
The Patterson odyssey starts in County Tyrone, where they were Presbyterian United Irish radicals who had to flee in the aftermath of the 1798 rebellion.
William Graham came from Ireland in 1810. He built the stone residence at the south end of Main Street in Tazewell. He was a soldier for Robert Emmet in the Irish Rebellion led by Emmet. He married Margaret Chamberlain
