WHO WE ARE? GLORY | VOL 1 PAGE 01 The Leo Club of Colombo Circle boasts a rich history that commenced at Bambalapitya Hindu College on October 23, 1991 and was later revitalized under the guidance of Lion Dr S. Kulendran MJF in 1999. With over 28 years of dedicated service, this club has consistently embodied the fundamental principles of Leoism. In 1999, Leo Janagan assumed leadership, assembling an enthusiastic team of Leos dedicated to community service. In the fiscal year 2004/2005, the club's trajectory was significantly influenced when Leo P.S. Senthuran took the helm. His dedication and leadership led to substantial growth in membership and club activities, propelling the club to achieve various awards and recognition, ultimately earning a place among the top clubs in the district. This legacy of exceptional leadership continued through the years, with notable presidents such as Leo Thiruparan, Leo Dinesh, and Leo Mayuran. They diligently served the community, enhanced membership quality, and maintained high standards, consistently earning accolades, including the "Most Outstanding Club" title in the district and multiple district levels. Subsequent leaders, including Leo Abiserck, Leo Vaishnavi, Leo Sanjeevan, Leo Puvisuthesh and Leo Dinesh continued to build on this impressive foundation. They organized numerous impactful service projects, improved the club's membership quality, and accumulated multiple awards and recognitions. In recent years, under the leadership of Leo Rajeebhavan, Leo Agathiyan, Leo Gajendran, Leo Nithushan and Leo Elakya, the club's unwavering commitment to excellence and service persists. They maintained the club's reputation as the "Most Outstanding Club" in the Leo district, upholding the legacy of high standards and impactful community service. The Leo Club of Colombo Circle is a beacon of dedication to service, exceptional leadership, and a rich history of excellence, solidifying its position as one of the leading Leo clubs in the district.

Chaired by Leo Gaayathri S Leo Tree Plantation Challenge 2023 International Mega Club Twinning Project By introducing 20 flowering plants and other greenery to the Bambalapitiya Flats Children's playground and the Lankadara Girls' hostel garden, the project sought to beautify these spaces while also promoting a greener future. The initiative aligned with the broader objective of raising awareness about the importance of preserving the environment and fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature among community members. Chaired by Leo Nivedha D “Turning Pages, Shaping Futures ” Donation Drive GLORY | VOL 1 PAGE 06 "Turning Pages, Shaping Futures" is an initiative is to mainly equip grade 11 students and other students at Hindu Vidyalayam, Mardana, especially those preparing for the Ordinary Level Examination (O/L exam), with essential educational resources and books for their library. By focusing on the acquisition of past papers and relevant study materials, we aim to empower these students to excel in their exams and subsequently pursue higher education opportunities. Moreover, recognizing their financial instability and often single-parent households, our objective extends beyond academics.

GLORY | VOL 1 PAGE 07 In today's fast-paced digital era, the dynamics of relationships have undergone a profound shift, particularly among young adults aged 23 to 27. The identified need stems from the necessity to understand and navigate the complex interplay between technology and relationships. “Think aloud” seeks to address this need by providing a platform for reflection and discourse. By examining how technology impacts relationships, we aim to empower young adults to make informed decisions about their digital interactions. Through open dialogue and skill-building exercises, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to utilize technology to enhance, rather than hinder, their connections.
