My Birth Story

It was April 5, 2004 when my mother Maria
Elena had her appointment with a doctor
because she was going to have a c-section. So
my dad Leonel saw realized they were late
so he got up and quickly drove my mom to
Paramount Hospital in California. When my
dad and my mom got to the main desk he
said “quick we are here for my wife’s
appointment. After two doctors came outside
with a wheel chair and sat my mom down and
took her to the room where they were going to My ultrasound picture
do the c-section.

Then when they brought my mom
to the room they gave her medicine to
numb here body. Then the doctor cut my
mom’s stomach open and out I came.
“It's a boy” the doctor said even though
my parents already knew the gender. My
dad and my mom’s face were delighted
with happiness. Then my dad’s went
home to bring my sister Jasmine and the
rest of my family to come and see me
who were also very happy to see me. My
mom and dad then thought of a name
which was Saul.

My first Soccer Game

It was a nice sunny saturday
morning I woke up and changed into my
soccer uniform which said S. Squad on
it. I brushed my teeth and then I went to
the kitchen to eat some breakfast I ate a
bowl of cereal with a banana. I got in the
car with my dad, mom, and sister my
dad drove us to Carson park.

I was so nervous because it was
my first soccer game so I got into my
position with my team. BEEP the
whistle went then the game started
my teammate passed the ball to me
and I ran as fast as I could I kicked
the ball without aiming and I made in
the goal. When the game was over
the score was 7-1 the whole team was
cheering. I couldn't believe we won
this was the most important they of
my life I thought because that's when
I learned to play soccer.

My first Bike Crash

It was a regular summer morning
and I wanted to use my bike, so I got
dressed and my dad took me outside. I
got the keys to open the bike lock the
petals barely reached my feet. Then
my dad took me around the
neighborhood while he was on his bike
when all of a sudden I decided to go
fast. I turned around and I saw my dad
chasing after me telling me to stop.

Then all of a sudden
my neighbor pulled in
really fast so I swerved and
crashed into a parked car.
“OW” I yelled the neighbor
stopped to check if I was
ok. Then my dad and my
neighbor were talking about
what happen. This made me
into who I am today
because it taught me to be
carefull.

Getting Stuck

I was about 1 year old
when I was crawling around
the house.Then I decided to
go crawl under my parents
bed. I was just finished with
my formula and I was very
sleepy so I fell asleep. Then
my mom realized I was gone
so she started yelling out my
name.

How big I was when I got stuck under the bed

The house where I got stuck under the bed Then I woke up and
started to cry because I was
stuck under the bed. Then my
mom heard me crying and
came to get me unstuck. She
wasn't mad or anything she was
just happy that she found me.
Getting stuck under a bed is
what shaped me into who I am
because I have a fear of getting
stuck under something heavy.

My name is Saul Alvarez and I have lived in Carson, California my
whole life. I was born on April 5, 2004 which makes me 13 and I love
playing soccer.
