ABOUT OUR RESORT!

Welcome to our Resort!
Designed by award-wining architect and interior designer
Bill Bensley, InterContinental Khao Yai National Park takes
historical inspiration from the area’s gateway for rail
transportation to North-East Thailand during King Rama V’s
reign.
DESCRIPTION
Set on a 100-acre site blessed with 50,000 trees and views
over seven lakes, the hotel is opening in August 2022 with
45 luxury rooms and suites, with another 19 repurposed
heritage train car suites. With its unique design on train
carriages upcycled into luxury suites, the result is a
compelling experience that transports guests to the
glamorous age of train travel.

Arrival Experience

Plan A

Station 1: Security guard to offer assistance immediately
whether arrival guest or restaurant guest and ring the bell to
alert team for check-in. Bellman offer Luggage assistance and
Valet service. GSA escort guest to Ticket Counter with
storytelling about concept and design. Let guest hit the bell a
sign to start the journey then escort to Khao Yai Station.

Station 2: GSA handover the passport and credit card to a
colleague at the desk. Offer Signature Welcome Drink and
cold/hot towel. Then Check-in.

*If guest with Limousine: GSA receive a 1st and 2nd call then 10
standby with Duty Manager at the Driveway.

OUR JOURNEY

Railcar Suite WITH Limousine

Station 1: GSA and Bellman standby at the driveway when
received 2nd call. GSA to greet the guest with the hand garland.
The guest must be greeted by Duty Manager/Rooms Division
Manager/GM.

Railcar Suite NO Limousine

Then escort guest to Ticket Counter to start a journey by hit the
bell then escort to Railway card with storytelling about concept
and design. GSA to carry EDC machine for in room check-in.

*Welcome drink and cold/hot towel available in room prior
arrival. Registration card and room keys to set in room.

Plan B

Station 1: Plan B is the short cut to prevent the traffic. Guest
should be offered assistance immediately by the security guard.
Bellman and GSA welcome and escort guest to Khao Yai Station.
Hit the bell then Reception.

Station 2: GSA ask guest passport and credit card to identify
booking. GSA carry the registration card, keys and EDC machine
take guest to the in room check-in.

*GSA colleague/Bellman to prepare a bottom of welcome drink
and cold/hot towel (in a carry container) to serve guest in the
room.

Pair your phone to a JBL Sound bar with Bluetooth
Android : Go to Settings and turn on Bluetooth. Click “Pair
new device”. When you see JBL bar device come up in the
list, tap it and it should be paired with your phone.
iPhone: Go to Settings and then Bluetooth. Turn on
Bluetooth. Look for JBL device under “OTHER DEVICES”
and tap on it to connect.

Television/IPTV
Guest can review their folio on TV and F&B Promotion.

Streaming system
HDMI: To Simply connect an HDMI cable between the
phone, tablet or laptop and the TV.

Android: To make the connection on Android, select
Screen Cast from the Quick Setting menu or go to
Settings-Bluetooth & device connection-Cast. Ensure that
“Enable Wireless Display” and you should see the
television listed either by name or a generic phrase like
“Smart TV”. Select if and wait a few second: all going
well, a copy of your phone’s display will appear on the
screen.

iPhone: Connect your device to the Wi-Fi network. Find

the video that you want to steam. Tap AirPlay . Choose
your Apple TV or AirPlay2-compatible smart TV. To stop

steaming, tap AirPlay in the app that you’re streaming
from.

*No. Swans are not greedy creatures and will only eat
what they need.

12.What do swans usually eat?
*Water plants, grasses, algae, insects and mollusks.

13.What can I feed swans?
*Fresh bread (mound is poisonous to them) grain such as
wheat or corn, fresh greens such as lettuce or spinach
14.Is it’s normal for a swan to fold one of its legs up onto

its back?
*Yes. It’s like us crossing our legs, plus the large surface
area of the foot is used for body temperature control.
15.How do swan protect themselves?
*Swans are quite defensive animals that will do anything
to protect their young by hissing, snorting and flapping
with their outstretched wings.

*Swans can mate at 2 years old and usually start during
the winter season. Some swans don’t find their mate
until they are 7 years old.

*Yes. The female lay eggs for 2-3 weeks after mating.
They lay up to seven eggs.

* Both sexes incubate the eggs, which hatch after 35-41
days.

20.What is the average lifespan of a common swan?
*12 years. In a protected environment this figure can
reach 30 years.

21.Where do swans usually sleep?
*Swans can sleep on both land and water. They stand on
one leg when they sleep on land.

22.Why are swans so expensive?
*The cost of swans is usually determined by availability,
difficulty of care and difficulty in rearing young. Swans
take 4-5 years to lay any eggs and when they do it is a
small clutch and then you have to raise these small
cygnets to adult sized birds. This takes a lot of time,
effort and patience.

23. How long can swans fly?
*They can fly as fast at speeds of 60 miles per hour.

24. Why do swans mate for life?
*Swans are famous for their lifelong pair bonds but when
one mate dies, the living swan will find another mate.

25. What is swans habitat?
*They nest on islands, reed beds and in dense
vegetation close to the edge of water.
