Farewell to Shri Kushagra Mittal, ARM, WR, Gandhidham
























































GCCI & Associations of Salt Industry have jointly given a farewell to Shri Krushagra Mittal, Area Railway Manager, WR, Gandhidham
on 06.04.2018 @ Chamber Bhavan.

At the outset, Jt. Secretary Shri Sanjay Gandhi greeted Mr. Mittal and all other business fraternity. He appreciated his cool nature,
positive attitude, qualities of dedication towards work. He also recalled that during his tenure, Gandhidham Station has won best station
award and also loading of record break 1379 wagons in single day in recent past. Shri Gandhi wished him good luck for his one year
training at Bangalore.

Shri Murlidhar Jagani, Secretary thanked for his co-operation to the Trade & Industry during his tenure and wished him a happy future.
Leading Salt industrialist Shri Bachubahi Ahir & Shri Babulal Singhvi expressed their feelings, that Gandhidham Railway Station &
salt industry will miss a well-respected, result oriented, versatile young railway officer.

Shri Kushagra Mittal, Area Manager expressed his gratitude in the response to his greetings, saying that it is a matter of pride that the
Gandhidham Chamber has a modern Chamber house with all facilities, as per its credentials. He said that during his stay in Kutch,
there has been a cooperative attitude of the people of the Kutch and for this, he thanked the people of Kutch. He expressed his hope
that the ongoing projects will be completed in its timeframe while presenting a rosy picture for the development of rail related to Kutch.
Apart from refreshing the memories of his latest visit at Japan, he gave primary information about the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train
project.

At the end of the programme all the present office bearers and past presidents of GCCI felicitated Mr. Mittal with a memento.

Football Festival on 15.4.2018 @ Gopalpuri Football Ground





































































GCCI organized a Football Coaching Camp on 15.04.2018 at DPT International Football Ground, Gopalpuri from 6.00 pm to 11.00


pm for children between age group of 10 to 17 years, which received a massive response and more than 250 children of this township

took part in this coaching camp enthusiastically.





At the outset, President Shri Babuhai Humbal greeted the Chief Guest Smt. Maltiben Maheshwari, MLA Gandhidham, Guest of

Honour Smt. Tulsi Sujan, President, Kachchh District Football Association, participants and their parents. Shri Humbal presented


bouquet to Hon’ble MLA Madam whereas Hon. Secretary Shri Murlidhar Jagani presented flowers to Smt. Sujan. In his speech,


Shri Humbal wished that children of this township will definitely play in the National Level Football Tournament in near future if


regular coaching arrangement is provided to these children. MLA Smt. Maltiben had appreciated remarkable social work done by

the GCCI for this township. The parents were impressed with the arrangements of this coaching camp and wished that GCCI will


organise coaching camps for different sports in future also. There were so much enthusiasm among the children & they desire to


extend this coaching camp even after 11.00 pm.

Review Meeting with PGVCL’s Officials on 24.4.2018




























Our Chamber regularly interacts with PGVCL’s Officials to resolve various issues mainly related to power supply to the township

and nearby industrial & commercial establishments. Recently, on 24 April, 2018 a review meeting was held with PGVCL’s

Officials @ Chamber Bhavan under the Chairmanship of Shri R D Meghani, Superintendent Engineer, PGVCL, Anjar. Office


Bearers of GCCI, PGVCL’s Sub-Committee members and other were also present in this meeting.




During the meeting, firstly PGVCL’s Officials briefed about ATR and present status related to the issues discussed in the last


meeting. Accordingly, briefing was given about the set-up of new Rambaug Sub-Divisional Office, ongoing efforts to locate


Rambaug Office at New Premises, progress of establishing new sub-station, collection of out-standing dues on installment basis

based on audit report, pending environment clearance for underground cabling work at Gandhidham – Adipur, pending cases of


deposit refund due to internal compliance. Other issues about power problem in Bhachau Area, non-attending power complain,


illegal power connection, delay in power connection to new hotels, no reply to RTI application, identity cards to be carried by meter


reader of out-source agency, tree cutting near power feeder, uses of insulated wire and frequent power interruption and voltage

fluctuation in Meghpar-Borichi Area where saw mills are operating were discussed.





At the end it was decided to have a separate meeting on 03.05.2018 with Kandla Timber Association @ Chamber Bhavan to resolve


their issues of power interruption and voltage fluctuation.

Gupta had attended a meeting of Industrial Executive Committee & Swift organised by District Industries Centre, Bhuj on


09.04.2018 under the Chairmanship Smt.Remya Mohan, Collector Kachchh at Collector Office, Bhuj.




The delegation first briefed about their representation to Revenue Minister regarding land issues of Gandhidham Township. Also


represented about land allocation to Airport Authority of India for expansion of Kandla Aerodrome, repairing of State Highway i.e.


Tagore Road connecting Gandhidham – Adipur, to start the construction of ROB at Railway Crossing near Rajvi, to organise a joint

meeting at Chamber Bhavan to resolve the problem of Surjabari & Samakhiyali Toll nakas, to expedite map approval by GDA and


explained GCDCR related objections, to extend the time limit by DPT for the construction on open plots due to current water crises


in Gujarat.




The ATR meeting was also organised on 23.04.2018 at Collector Office, Bhuj to review the above issues which was attended by


President, Shri Babubhai Humbal, Hon. Secretary Shri Murlidhar Jagani & Treasurer Shri Jayesh Rajde.
