The holiday season is a very special time of the year. While some
people anticipate new experiences, many others look forward to
their meaningful traditions. The magic of the season is as diverse as
snowflakes that fall from the sky. Warmth and love are reflected
in the glow of lights and sparkling décor in homes and businesses,
the act of donating to organizations and helping others, attending
community events and the giving and receiving of gifts.
The Wishbook will help you find unique things that make your holidays
magical. There are services, events and items to add some sparkle
to your life and that of others. Within this book, you will find many
things you may need for the holidays right here, close to home in
Queens County.
For many, the act of giving is a holiday tradition; the Wishbook has a
directory of some of the ways you can help make someone’s holidays
brighter with a donation, a gift or a simple act of thoughtfulness or
kindness. We live in a community with residents who look out for
each other and care about each other – and really, isn’t that the true
meaning the holidays?
The excitement throughout Queens for the festive season is evident in
the care that businesses, community organizations and residents take
in decorating for this special time. Communities are aglow … go for
a walk or a drive to take in the beauty that surrounds us.

The Queens County Museum proudly presents: Festival of
Trees & Dickensville 2022

We invite you and your family to experience this magical
setting of more than 30 decorated Christmas trees of all
sizes along with our beloved Dickensville, which takes you
through the city of London during the Charles Dickens era
with all the delightful characters from his books.

The exhibit opens for viewing November 23 and closes
