The Voice of Uttar Bhartiya in
Mumbai is now MLC, Maharashtra
The visionary who resides in Hiranandani Powai, Shri R. N. Singh had a dream in his eyes
when he came from a small village in Uttar Pradesh (U.P) to his El Dorado, Mumbai. He is
elated that after a long journey, spanning several decades, he has become the chosen
one of the masses in his “karmabhoomi”.
He had first undertaken the responsibility of establishing the most reliable and dynamic
Security Agency of India in the form of BIS (Bombay Intelligence Security) and now he has
made his mark in the political circles as well. He said, “I would now like to use this opportunity as Member
of Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) to bring people together.”
He started his philanthropic work way back in 1996 when BIS had already become the most professional
security services provider by giving back to society as he made his humble efforts in providing for the lower
middle class and poor migrant population in the form of arranging accommodation, medical help and other
assistance. His relentless efforts of making it big by devoting his sweat and blood to nurture BIS just like
other starry eyed aspirants in Mumbai, he has attained the goal of being one of the most successful
entrepreneurs in Mumbai.
Later on in terms of Social Work he served as President of the Lions Club, then as President of the Adarsh
Janseva Mandal before he went on to become the President of the Uttar Bharatiya Sangh(UBS) in Mumbai.
At the helm of affairs in Uttar Bharatiya Sangh he set up schools, libraries and Community Hall for various
migrant settlers from North India in addition to setting up management and degree colleges in Mumbai. He
did not forget his roots as he established a convent school and college for girls named after his late wife
Smt. Ramsakhi at his hometown in Gorakhpur ’s Bharauli village. Continued page 02

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
should be your goal in life !
It gives me immense pleasure in now being able to address to the societal needs
for the development of a stronger and educated India. After having established
BIS as the most dynamic Security Organisation In India, I would now like to give
back to the society by providing the best Education and other facilities for
migrants to Mumbai who are from the less privileged sections of the society.
As the MLC of BJP and focusing with a strategic approach on the noble initiative of the “Beti Bachao Beti
Padhao” campaign of our Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, I have always been an
avid supporter of this philosophy of Educating the Girl Child as my Late Wife Smt. Ramsakhi Singh also
believed in the same outlook towards life with our daughters. She used to say that if you educate your girl
child then your entire family is educated. The latest instance has been when history was created and a
proud moment for India, at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal on the outskirts of Hyderabad, as the IAF
formally commissioned its first three women fighter pilots. Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar
attended the combined graduation ceremony and conferred the President’s Commission on 130
graduating trainees of various branches, including 22 women. “This is a golden day. This should be an
opening for more women for joining combat forces,” he said, adding that “total gender parity” in armed
forces will be achieved in coming years.
Avani Chaturvedi, Bhavana Kant and Mohana Singh will go to Bidar in Karnataka for a year long stage-III
training on Hawk advanced jet trainers, before they get to fly supersonic warplanes. This is just the
beginning and its high time that there should be gender equality and we should be happy when a girl child is
born as it will mark the beginning of a more prosperous and caring world for us to live in!
Jai Hind ! Bharat Mata Ki Jai !

How the hiring process will change in 2016
The Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi had launched the
Skill India Mission-Kaushal Bharat Kushal Bharat and laid the foundation for
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). PMKVY is the flagship outcome-
based skill training scheme of the new Ministry of Skill Development &
Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this skill certification and reward
scheme is to enable and mobilize a large number of Indian youth to take up
outcome based skill training and become employable and earn their livelihood.
Thus, once a person is skilled, it’s important for him/her to understand how the
Human Resources Department (HRD) is also undergoing a metamorphosis in
terms of recruitment and retention of employees.
Bill Gates had said, "The competition to hire the best will increase in the years ahead. Companies that give extra
flexibility to their employees will have the edge in this area."
This is so true as the recruitment or hiring process has evolved over the years and in the year 2016 it’s
imperative that if a company has to prosper, they have to recruit the best talent in the industry and even
focus on retaining them. In this digital age, the recruitment process has even undergone a radical change
as more and more candidates are being recruited after assessing their online presence and recruitment
tools like Mobile Recruiting Tools, Applicant Tracking Systems(ATS), Gamification, Collaborative Tools,
Video Interviewing , Internet Sourcing et al have become more relevant than before.
Thus, Social Media and various professional networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus,
XING, BeKnown play a pivotal part in tracking the presence of suitable candidates rather than the
traditional Resume to source the most relevant profiles and thus recruit them accordingly.
As per a survey conducted by Socialmeep, 89% of recruiters have hired candidates through LinkedIn and
only 26 % have hired via Facebook and 15 % through Twitter. So, when a recruiter scans through LinkedIn
profiles they save time, money and efforts and work smartly as the Job Description (JD) can be compared
with the Skills and Job Application of any individual. The quality of candidates hired through LinkedIn is
generally far better than the ones sourced through traditional job boards, job websites or agencies.
It’s the need of the hour now that the entire recruitment process has to be made more efficient as the
recruiter, HR Executive or HR Manager can be the catalyst to not lose out a suitable candidate due to
internal delays. If an organization is laid back or they delay in making an offer to the candidate, the
quintessential candidate starts looking for other opportunities. Thus the hiring cycle has to be geared up to
recruit the best suitable talent for any job and the recruiter has to be proactive. Most of the candidates who
are looking for new job offers with leading brands are already employed. They take their day off at the
current organization that they are working for, hoping that the new job they have applied for will have better
compensation and perks. So, the recruiters have to even highlight certain benefits like insurance, vacation
time, maternal/paternal leave, and other work/life accommodations in addition to the Salary package the
company is offering for a particular job.
Now, if we have to talk about Skilled Security Guards as India’s leading Security Organisation, BIS under the
able leadership of Shri R. N. Singh has made an initiative in accordance with Shri Narendra Modi‘s Skill
India Mission - Kaushal Bharat Kushal Bharat (PMKVY) to provide the skilled Security Guards to various
organisations. Thus BIS is getting Registration for undertaking the scheme and running courses at IISM
Khandwa and IISM Karjat in accordance with the Security Sector Skill Development Council (SSSDC)
guidelines. Amarjeet A Singh
