ABSTRACT COVID-19 GETTING WORSE AGAIN (Nur Fatihah Binti Abdul Malik Faisal, Aisyah Binti Ismael) The SARS-CoV-2 virus that started the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant and widespread global impact. The research aims to raise public awareness and educate the public. The Ministry of Health Malaysia officials provided the majority of the data for the literature reviews, which were gathered through a library research procedure with additional support from some other respected journals found in databases. Over the past two weeks, Malaysia has reported a total of 37,854 active COVID-19 cases, with the highest numbers in Selangor (9,225), W.P. Kuala Lumpur (6,348), and Johor (4,397). This pandemic produced economic difficulties with job losses and financial instability, strained social interactions due to physical separation measures, and limited education through extensive school closures. Accurate and current information is essential for people to follow recommended guidelines and make informed decisions about their health.

ABSTRACT BEAUTY STANDARDS EFFECT ON BODY POSITIVITY AND MENTAL HEALTH (Nur Arifah Harisa Binti Mohd Halizi, Siti Nur Zuhrah Binti Muhammad Yunisa) Beauty standards are societal norms and ideals that dictate the perceived physical attractiveness of individuals. This often contributes to the formation of unrealistic body ideals; subjecting individuals to the pressure of conformity. The research analyzes how beauty standards can affect body positivity and mental health of individuals in society. Our data was based on library research from newspapers, articles and journals that captured the evolving trends in beauty standard and body positivity. One study found that 87% of women and 65% of men compared their body images seen online such as social media. Continuous exposure from idealized images in media fosters negative body-shaming perceptions particularly among those deviating from conventional norms. The expectation causes a significantly detrimental impact on body positivity and mental health that leads to extreme diets, low self-esteem, anxiety, self-hatred, depression, and even suicidal thought among affected individuals. To overcome the issue, it is vital that the society is educated to not judge anyone based on the perceived beauty standards, as everyone has their own unique beauty.

ABSTRACT MICET GREEN REVOLUTION (Muhammad Danial Hafiy Bin Mohamad Zabidi, Muhammad Haziq Fikri Bin Salim, Khan Wajahat Ullah) The solar energy generation project at the University Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET) stands as a testament to Malaysia's commitment to sustainable energy development. Through meticulous site selection and strategic planning, UniKL MICET positions itself as a beacon for sustainable energy practices. The incorporation of the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program underscores the nation's dedication to renewable and environmentally friendly attributes. The financial breakdown and long-term viability analysis for Option 1 and Option 2, with respective ROIs of 9.1 and 9.2 years, solidify UniKL MICET's commitment to a resilient energy landscape. Despite challenges, ongoing research, development, and supportive policies can overcome limitations, fostering innovation. The annual yield of 1510 MWh/year from solar panels aligns with UniKL MICET's commitment, meeting daytime electricity needs. Embracing solar power as an ideal renewable energy solution, despite limitations in wind and hydropower, reflects Melaka's suitability for solar panels. Government incentives further support this transition, offering practical benefits of cost savings, self-reliance, and environmental alignment. UniKL MICET's dedication to solar energy sets a precedent for a sustainable future, influencing both the campus and the wider Melaka community.

ABSTRACT WATTS HAPPENING IN SARAWAK #SUNGAI BARAM RIVER (Muhammad Razin Syahmi Bin Kamaruzaman, Muhamad Aniq Ikhwan Bin Abu Seman) Sarawak, the largest state in Malaysia situated on Borneo Island, distinguishes itself in economic development by maintaining a reliance on the export of primary commodities, such as liquefied natural gas and crude petroleum, in contrast to the national trajectory towards a manufacturing and industry-based economy. Notably, the Baram River in northern Sarawak emerges as a crucial site for a hydroelectric power plant, strategically capitalizing on its robust water flow and elevation gradient for sustainable energy generation. Feasibility studies highlight a commitment to environmental conservation with minimal land allocation, estimating a project cost ranging from $1.5 to $2.5 million per megawatt of installed capacity. This aligns with Malaysia's renewable energy goals, emphasizing the importance of hydroelectricity as a dependable and sustainable energy source. Addressing environmental concerns, a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) underscores mitigation measures and community engagement, essential for balancing energy development with environmental preservation and respecting cultural heritage. Collaboration with local communities, indigenous groups, and stakeholders is paramount. The hydroelectric power plant, incorporating advanced turbine technology and water management systems, comprises a large-scale dam, powerhouse, turbines, generators, and transmission infrastructure for efficient electricity distribution. In conclusion, the harnessing of the Baram River's hydroelectric potential presents significant promise for sustainable energy generation in Sarawak, requiring meticulous planning, stakeholder engagement, and technological innovation to contribute to the region's energy needs while ensuring environmental sustainability and community well-being.

The incorporation of kale and spinach into traditional murukku demonstrates food innovation that caters to consumers' changing preferences for healthier and more diverse food options. Both kale and spinach are considered healthy options, as evidenced by nutritional analysis, with kale providing more vitamin C, minerals, and protein than spinach. These vegetables have high moisture content before being incorporated into murukku, so microbiological analysis is necessary to determine the shelf life. Therefore, these leafy greens are beneficial ingredients for those looking to enhance the nutritional value of their snaenhance the nutritional value of their snacks.
