Specifications of ACFA® Wall Panels

ACFA® Wall Panels

- There are two types of sandwich panels: the first is interior sandwich
panels and the second called exterior sandwich panels. This classification
according to their application.

Face sheet (1) of Fiber - Fig. (1): Structure of sandwich panel

Core: Styro Concrete

(Concrete +Polyestrin)
Density = 640 kg/m3

Generally, sandwich panels are applied in situations that require high
mechanical strength and low weight and, in addition, when adequate
levels of sound and thermal insulation are needed. A sandwich panel
structure is three layers made up of an upper and lower face sheets (skins)
and core in between them which are bonded together as shown in Fig. (1)

1.1. ACFA® Wall panels

The face sheet carries in plane loads, while the core maintains a distance
between face sheets. The face is mainly composed of cement (as binder),
silica sand (as filler) and cellulosic fiber. The core is composed of
cemented polystyrene foam.

2.1.1. Dimensions

Table (5) shows the dimensions of sandwich panels including faces and
core.
