*HYMN OF PRAISE.........................................Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, Holy, Holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.
Holy, Holy, Holy! Though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy – there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in pow’r, in love and purity.
Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

“Because of Your Participation in the Gospel”
Philippians 1:2-11
Leader: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the
Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time
I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I
always pray with joy
Congregation: because of your participation in the gospel from
the first day until now, being confident of this, that
he who began a good work in you will carry
it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Leader: It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since
I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or
defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share
in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for
all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
All: And this is my prayer: that your love may abound
more and more in knowledge and depth of
insight, so that you may be able to discern what is
best and may be pure and blameless until the day
of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that
comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory
and praise of God.

*CLOSING HYMN..................The Johnson Hymn (Finlandia)
William F. Tucker (1941)
To thee, O Johnson, our hearts’ adoration,
Thy grand traditions we will ever prize;
Our hopes, our aims, our every expectation
In thee and in our God we realize.
Thy message of a sure and real salvation
Is ours to carry to a million lives.
We praise His name, we pledge allegiance to Him;
Our love for Him will never wane or die
Strong in His word that points us to our duty
To preach of peace to those who sin-sick lie
Our Alma Mater, heed we thy entreaty,
“Proclaim God’s kingdom coming from on high.”
