Introduction
Siyaya Skills Institute is a professionally accredited Training Provider, which satisfies the require-
ments of the new Skills Development legislation in South Africa. Siyaya, an externally verified Level
1, B-BBEE contributor, ensures the delivery of quality learning and maximum financial and strategic
benefits for all levy-paying clients.
The Institute was registered in 2001, although the directors have been involved in training and
Skills Development since 1985. The company was commissioned to draft some of the first generic
training material for Services SETA (SSETA), enabling Siyaya to master the challenging world of Skills
Development.
The Institute is recognized as an experienced and highly capable specialist services provider having
successfully completed in excess of 9 000 national qualifications, assisting countless organizations
in reaching B-BBEE and compliance objectives since 2001.
We provide reliable services within the regulatory environment, ensuring the delivery of quality
learning while maximising financial and strategic benefits for all levy paying clients.
Our Institute has to date secured an average of between 50% and 350% of levy payments back in
respect of training for clients as well as securing company tax deductions of more than R300-mil-
lion through the correct application and structuring of skills development interventions and
government incentives.
Our focus is to provide solutions to our clients, assisting them in the integration of company
compliance with the various prescriptive and elective legislations, while increasing the productivity
and effectiveness of employees through our quality learning experiences.
We, as an externally verified Level 1, B-BBEE contributor are proud to provide national services

Director of Siyaya Skills Institute, Brent Oakes, was chosen as one of the "Top 40
under 40" business people of 2012, by the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber
through the facilitation of placement of our Cleaning Qualification learners in
workplace experience, assisted more than 11 disadvantaged community schools to
improve Cleaning and Hygiene conditions for their students, likewise assisted these
schools, by placing Business Administration learners in these schools for their
administration workplace experience.
Participated in the Just Inspired Campaign to upgrade Community school facilities.
The SSETA Siyaya learner choir participated in laying down vocals on a track by
Canadian singer, Justin Hines, at the SABC called “Say what you will”. All funds
received were contributed to the Association for the Physically Disabled in the
Eastern Cape.

The benefits of studying an ICB course
• The ICB’s five programmes are designed to provide you with the most pertinent,
practical as well as beneficial knowledge and skills to make you more employable and
valuable.
• The ICB programmes are subdivided into different levels. They are foundation, intermediate,
upper-intermediate and advanced. The ICB programmes are nationally accredited and all of
the levels are registered on the National Qualifications Framework. As you complete each
level of your ICB programme, you will receive a certificate from Fasset.
• The ICB offers students the opportunity to further their education by their association with
other professional bodies.
• You can study ICB courses full-time or part-time. Studying part-time allows you to work while
you study and so doing gain valuable work experience. Working while you study also allows
you to apply the theory you’ve learned practically while you learn.
• The ICB courses are structured in a way that allows one to study at your own pace. The ICB
programmes allows you to enrol for one subject at a time or multiple and complete them in
your own time.
• Once you have completed an ICB qualification there are several local as well as international
professional bodies that you can apply to for professional membership. The ICB grants
membership at a number of levels based on your qualification (s) and work experience.
