● A is for adultery is for the act she did that cost her to wear the A
in the first place.

● B is for bosom is where the letter A was located for her
punishment.

C

● C is for Chillingworth, the eil Husband who wanted revenge.

● D is for Dimmesdale, who commited sin of adultery with Hester.

● E is for Eternity of how long Hester had to wear the letter A.

F

● F is for Father which stands for the unknown father that know
one knew in the beginning.

● G is for governor, which is for the authority in the colonies at this
time and age.

● H is for Hester which is the main character of the story.

● I is for Intelligents which Pearl had when she found out that
Dimmesdale was her father even though know one told her.

● J is for Justice which the people wanted because they really
wanted to know who the father is in the beginning of the book.

● Z is for zeal which Dimmesdale has when he reveals his sins to
the colonists on the scaffold.
