1. Provide guidance and counseling services to SSN and their
parents/ guardians.
2. Prepare reports on counseling services for SSN (if
necessary).
3. Work with special education teachers to look after the
welfare of SSN.

1. Provide reports or information related to discipline for the
students involved.
2. Assist administrators in launching IEP implementation.
3. Work with special education teachers on SSN behavior
problems

1. Identify SSNs who are in mainstream classes placed in IEP
for schools that do not have PPKI.
2. Identify SSNs who are in Special Rehabilitation classes to be

1. Provide teaching aids (BBM) that are appropriate to the
needs of SSN.
2. Assist teachers in mainstream classrooms during teaching

2. Assist in preparing the SSN Individual Lesson Plan (ILP)
through discussions with subject teachers.
3. Collaborate with mainstream teachers on student

The guidance center was established with the aim of teaching
children with special needs about life skills and social skills.

Bodies This day center is opened specifically to provide services to
children with special needs who are involved with Early
Intervention for children between the ages of 0-6 years as well
as life skills for children between the ages of 6-16 years.
Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (Kiwanis
Down Syndrome Foundation)
The Foundation is a body committed to the welfare of children
with Down syndrome with a focus on children under 6 years of
age. Currently, the foundation operates six educational centers
for children with Down syndrome throughout Malaysia.
