USF Internal Medicine 2021-2022

Reflection of the Academic Year

RESIDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Each year we provide interns with an Categorical Categorical
opt-out introduction visit with the Attended No Show
Resident Assistance Program (RAP).
Our goal this year was to improve • 25 •6
attendance and decrease no-show
rates. To do this we assisted with Prelim Prelim
scheduling of virtual appointments Attended No-Show
during elective time (October –
December), created automated email •9 •8
reminders to go out the week before
their appointment, and attendance was
discussed at their first SemiAnnual
visit. This resulted in a dramatic
improvement in attended visits this
year compared to last year.
Areas for improvement for next year
would be to send a calendar invite and
perhaps schedule after semiannual
meeting.
