The Tambaram Fit and Spin Doctors’s challenge grand finale was also successfully
completed. At the culmination of the event, finisher medals and prizes were distributed to
the finishers of the walkathon and winners of the challenge. The program ended with a
simple and healthy breakfast. The event was well covered by media.

In the past 5 years, the outcome was-
1. Learning to collaborate and collaborating to learn
2. We have shared best practices, got updated on emerging trends in Ophthalmology.
3. We received mentoring and guidance from more experienced professionals.
4. We are also been sensitized to ethics and medico-legal challenges.
5. We had community activities as a group, which may not be feasible as a single
individual like Glaucoma Awareness cyclathon and singing.

Now our TOS life members are 83 in number.
Thank you for your great support and co-operation, which means a lot. Together we can do
so much !

FEED-BACK

My views and experience with TOS:

TOS, the idea and the sapling my mentor Dr Nirmal Fredrick planted at Tambaram, is full of
promises to the young as well as the old ophthalmologists, to the private practitioners as well
as people attached to institutes . This society not only aims at continuing medical education
but also contributes to professional development, and not to forget the much need lessons on
medico-legal issues.TOS, provides a very comfortable platform for discussions and
clarifications on various topics.
I feel very privileged to have been associated with this society. I thank Dr Nirmal Fredrick to
have me in as one of his team mate. Its been wonderful to work with TOS team and I hope
to give my best to TOS!

Regards
Ramya chelliah
