OUR STORY

How it all started: 
I had this crazy idea to
make my photos wearable,
therefore I started to look
for different ways to print
my photos on fabrics and
make them portable.
 
One of my ideas was to
use sun printing techniques,
by combining the
traditional textile printing 
with analogue photo
processes.

So I developed a technique which uses the same
principles than analogue photo development,
but with natural, sun sensitive dye instead, and on
top resistant to washing machine and bleaches. 

Summarizing the idea of the project is to create
alternative, Eco friendly printed and stylish
products with sustainable materials; and to print/
develop photos and designs on textiles in an
ecological and economical but innovative way.

My inspiration
My fascination with handcrafted design, the
vibrant sunlight reflected on the colorful tiles
and houses of my hometown Lisbon, assembled
with my love for a sustainable lifestyle, creates a
never-ending inspiration for my work.
My designs are inspired by the photos I take in
the old neighbourghoods, manually crafted into
handprinted artwork.
All my original artworks are handcrafted, using
sunprinting techniques to
print originals on various
natural textiles.

OUR DYE AND PRINTING
TECHNIQUE

All products are produced and developed under
the sun, using the same technique than for
developing analogical photos.
The sun sensitive dye reacts to the sun and
transforms it into color. The longer it is
exposed to light, the darker the dye gets on
the printed area.
After the development, the fabric is washed in
order to fix the dye definitely to the fabric. No
additional fixing products required

ABOUT
ME

As a photographer, I am seeking for ways to develop
my techniques, explore my creativity and
 finally expose my artwork in new forms.

I started to explore new printing techniques for my
photos, developing my own sun printing process
further, using sun sensitive dye. Later on, I applied
this technique on textiles and clothes and created new
wearable photos and unique artwork.
My aim is to create unique pieces of art on clothes
and accessories and make my photos accessible to
everybody in different styles.

I am a Portuguese photographer living in Lisbon. After
working for a long time in marketing and PR area, I
decided to develop my own project and started a
photo business, providing corporate photo services
and training on photo techniques.
