MANGROVE PLANTATION .

Explore the Lungs of Abu Dhabi: A billion-dollar ecosystem.

Mangroves are the important and conspicuous component of the
habitats of the United Arab Emirates of a particular significance
for their associated bird communities and the other fauna. The
mangrove covers 1000 of hectare of land along the UAE shore line
form an integral part of the coastal ecosystem in the UAE.

They provide a rich natural habitat and safe breeding grounds for
several fish species, sea snakes, turtles and commercially important
shrimp, snapper, grunt fish and sea bream.

Mangrove forests grow in intertidal areas and substantially
contribute to the preservation of the environment. The project aims
to curb the deterioration of the vital habitat and preserve the
sustainability of Abu Dhabi.

Located along the eastern ring road, the Eastern Mangrove Lagoon
is the closest mangrove forest to the Abu Dhabi City. This unique
ecological hotspot is being rebranded as the Eastern Mangrove
Lagoon National Park as part of the first of five national parks
identified in Plan Abu Dhabi 2030. Saadiyat Island where the
agency partnered with the TDIC to plant 750,000 saplings of
mangroves on 25% of the island which is currently being
developed as a cultural hub of Abu Dhabi. The EAD regularly
encourages developers to rehabilitate the affected areas by planting
mangroves extensively.

Cavalia is a fabricated word devised by combining the Spanish
term for horse, caballo, with the French cheval and the English
word cavalry
The equestrian ballet features 50 horses and 50 riders, aerialists,
acrobats, dancers and musicians who will perform in a 2,440sqm
big top tent that rises 35m high – the height of a 10-storey
building. The 50m stage will allow the horses space to gallop at
full speed, at times without bridles or halters. The production has
been especially adapted to reflect UAE culture, so you will see
pearl diving acts and costumes inspired by traditional dress. The
show explores the relationship between humans and horses by
loosely recounting the evolution of this bond.
The opening act, Historical Caravan, will introduce the horses as
we tell the story of how the Emirate‟s early settlers arrived in the
city.
In Roman Riding, a stunt rider will stand on two horses as they
race around the stage. Fantasia is the most popular, most
memorable act, as it involves a number of tricks at high speed – so

BOUNCE- The Indoor Trampolines

Remember when you were a kid and you used to jump up and down on your bed before your parents would tell you to stop? Well, now you can
once again feel that giddy euphoria of flying through the air at a new indoor trampoline park in Dubai.
Sitting behind Dubai‟s World Trade Centre, at the entrance of the
industrial maze that is Al Quoz, is a warehouse decked out with
trampolines that is sure to breathe new life into the UAE‟s fitness
world..
The tramps, as they are nicknamed, have been imported from
Australia (where Bounce began) and America. The performance
area will house five Olympic tramps for advanced athletes. The
trampolines are connected, with padding around the edges, enabling
people to move around the venue, springing from trampoline to
trampoline. A giant air bag at one end means you don‟t have to nail
your landing – you can just sail through the air and flop back down
to earth.
One of the most eye-catching skill to look out for will be wall
running, in which people bounce on their backs and then walk up
the wall a few paces before falling back down on the tramp.
A viewing platform up high will give people great views of the
venue, and will house a café serving drinks and snacks. Bounce is
for adults and children, although there is a height restriction and
kids must be over three to have a go.
