Storm Storm the start of every season to host a dinner and silent auction. The funds
raised from the dinner are deposited into the ballpark improvement
Auburn Wildcats projects fund. The fund was set up to in order to upgrade the ballpark
with improvements each year.

Dine with the Team

Annual Preseason Dinner

Every year before the season starts, the Humboldt Crabs
Baseball organization and the City of Arcata produce the
season opening dinner at the Arcata Community Center
the Friday night prior to the first game.

At the dinner, Crab fans receive a free official Crabs
program, a catered meal featuring local microbrews from
Mad River Brewing Co., and Redwood Curtain Brewing
Co., and also get to meet the team and coaches.

Proceeds from the opening dinner fund improvements
at the Arcata Ballpark such as a batting cage, back
stops, nets, etc.

The Humboldt Crabs rent the ballpark from the
City of Arcata. In addition, American Legion baseball,
Little League, high school teams and other summer
baseball teams also rent the ballpark — so your generosity
goes a long way to help improve the city-run ballpark.

During the event, Crabs sponsors and local
businesses generously donate gift baskets, gift certificates
and other donated items for the silent auction. Any unused
items are given away to Crabs fans at the games
with a shout out from our P.A. and radio booth.
