JOHANNA DEZSŐ
PORTFOLIO 2022
I am Johanna Dezső, a student, born in 2003, Pécs,
Hungary.
I have had a deep connection with art since I was a
child. Later on I attended The Art High School and
Vocational School of Pécs back in 2017, where I
studied as a goldsmith for 4 years.
In 10th grade,I got to know the field of Industrial and
Product design, and I wanted to deepen my knowl-
edge. I attended Corvin Art School in September of
2021, where I studied Space and Industrial Design.
I’ve been admitted to the Industrial and Product
Design BA class of 2022 at MOME in 2022.

Natural Form Adaptation The aim of the project was to choose any natural
form and after a long examination process, make a
Johanna Dezső // Portfolio 2022 a functional product out of it.
After making study drawings, stylizations and mul-
tiple different form variations of my chosen subject,
walnuts, I designed a modular outdoor furniture
which consists of two parts.
The product - which closely follows current trends
- is made from popular materials and can be easily
integrated in any public space.

Mailbox Design The design of the hexagonal mailbox was in-
fluenced by the form of beehives and the op-

enhanced by the light source installed under
the plates.
The final product is suitable for the interior of
modern apartment buildings and the entrance
of family houses.

Social Design My target group were elementary school children
with poor social conditions surrounding them.
Johanna Dezső // Portfolio 2022 For the survey, I visited a village in Southern
Baranya, where I talked with families about their
harsh living conditions and the difficulties of every-
day life for them.
The end result of the project is a modular indoor
furniture made for this specific group, which is -
besides the fact that it is made from cheap
materials - also easily portable.
The product would provide a great solution to the
lack of privacy for children, and would also function
as a bed, learning space and storage unit.

Space divider MOME’s entrance exam task was to design an
object that would help “Mariann”, a mother of

easily match the latest interior trends while
motivating family members to do the housework.

Concept Space - Arrival The aim of the associative task was to design a
5 x 5 x 8 meter room, with the given word : arriving.
Johanna Dezső // Portfolio 2022 According to my idea, this place symbolizes both
the daily and rare arrivals in our lives. To describe
this feeling more precisely, I gave the space a nat-
ural atmosphere . By designing it calming and na-
ture-like - using materials such as water, limestone
, wood, moss - I wanted to amplify this warm expe-
rience.
When planning the interior, I paid attention to sev-
eral exit and entry points, natural light and relaxing
colors. This way the people walking in it can feel
close to nature and relive their important arrivings
looking back in their life.

Landscape Design The aim of the project was to rethink one of
the inner gardens of the Baranyai residential
Johanna Dezső // Portfolio 2022 complex in district XI. , Budapest.
The most important aspect in my project was
to keep the garden easily passable for the
residents of the surrounding buildings. I also
took into account the location of the existing
trees and left the statue in it’s original place.
The pavilion passing through the square
decorates it as a water wall - while reusing
rainwater - and also functions as a shade.
The intersections of the long paths crossing
the yard and the resting place in the middle
symbolize s the community of the residents,
and is also suitable for organizing programs.
