Cera is a multi-award winning, technology-enabled home care provider,
which launched nationally in November 2016.
Co-founded by Dr. Ben Maruthappu and Marek Sacha, who have each
been featured in Forbes’ 30under30, Cera uses digital technology to
streamline client-carer matching and business operations, while
improving care delivery.
Cera has already delivered 10s of thousands of hours of care with a 99%
satisfaction rate, and has hundreds of care staff on its roster. It is most
active throughout London and in neighbouring counties.

SHADOWING +
You will be scheduled a morning of shadowing, giving you the opportunity to meet
multiple Team Members and learn about different roles within the Company.
BUDDYUP +
You will be introduced to your Buddy who will help you find your bearings in the
Company. You should check in with your Buddy every day for the first week, asking
them anything and everything you need answers to!
EMAIL +
We will set you up with an @ceracare.co.uk email address prior to your first day. We
use GMail, so please take the chance to get set-up on the platform and familiarise
yourself with the functionality.
CHARLIE HR +
We use CharlieHR to store all employment data and documentation. You will receive
an email inviting you to fill out your profile, but if you have any problems filling out the
information required, or have not received an invite, please ask Natalie.
SLACK +
For instant communication we use Slack. It saves email accounts getting clogged up
with small-talk, and we have a few channels for group discussions. Please get
registered and chatting!
MEET THE TEAM +
Hopefully you will have had the chance to meet most people, but every Thursday we
try to have Pizza and Beer together from 5pm. So, please do get involved!
LINKEDIN +
Once you’re settled after a couple of days and familiar with your role, please do update
your LinkedIn to make it all official (If you haven’t already!) A document is available that
will guide you through the process, just ask.
HOT DESKING +
We all work from laptops, as we’re aware space is sometimes needed for focus,
creativity, or for confidential working. So, as you get more settled into your role and the
team, do take the opportunity to switch-up your usual surroundings if you wish!
SUGGESTIONS +
We’re a Company open to ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism. If you have
any feedback, good or bad, feel like there’s anything missing, or have an idea for a fab
team night out, just let us know! Drop a note in our suggestion box..
CATCHUP +
At the end of your first week, and on a weekly basis from then on, you will have a
one-on-one catch-up with your Line Manager to discuss performance, queries,
direction, feedback and anything/ everything in between!
SOCIALS +
We try to have Company Socials at least once per month, so hopefully you’ve seen us
at our best and worst! If you have ideas for Socials, please do put forward your
suggestions.
FLEXIBLE WORKING +
We try to be as accommodating as possible and we understand the need for flexibility.
This is why we encourage hot desking, but also support working remotely a couple of
days a month.
HR REVIEWS +
Every month individual coffee catch-ups are held to gain an insight your happiness and
wellbeing, and to get feedback/ suggestions on how we can move forward. These
meetings are separate to reviews with your Line Manager.
PERKBOX +
Perkbox is what we use for Employee Engagement, and it’s a little way we say thank
you to everyone. You can find discounts for anything from gym memberships to
coffees, and from groceries to cinema tickets. How many perks can you use in 1
month?!
