AUTHOR
Ar. Dr. Lim Chin Haw is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the
Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Universiti Kebangsaan
Malaysia. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) from
UTM, followed by Master of Science (Architecture) from University
of Malaya and PhD (Renewable Energy) from UKM. He is both
a Professional Architect and avid researcher in Passive and Low
Energy Architecture. He is a corporate member of the Malaysian
Institute of Architects (PAM) and member of the Board of Architects
Malaysia (LAM). He also served as the Board Member of Malaysia Green Building
Council (MalaysiaGBC) 2017-2018. He started his career as an architect in practice
in 1992 and eventually joined the university fraternity as an academic and researcher
in 2005 until today. During his professional architecture career, he worked on a
variety of local and international projects. As an active research scientist and scholar,
he has also published and presented many research papers in high-impact journals
and international conferences. He was also appointed by United Nations Industrial
Development Organization (UNIDO) as the National Evaluator for National Program for
GHG Emissions Reductions in Targeted Industrial Subsectors through Energy Efficiency
and Application of Solar Thermal Systems in Malaysia and Energy Efficient Low Carbon
Transport project. He has served as the working group for the revision of the industry
standards such as MS 1525, MS 2095 and the new MS 2680.
Ir. Ts. Noor Muhammad Abd Rahman, graduated in 2006 with
a B.Eng. (Hons) degree in electrical engineering from Universiti
Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and holds a Master’s in Science in
Sustainable Infrastructure (2019) from Universiti Teknologi
Malaysia (UTM). He is a registered professional engineer with
practicing certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
and registered professional technologist with Malaysia Board of
Technologists (MBOT). He is also a registered electrical energy
manager with Energy Commission, authorised person (low voltage)
HTM 06-02 accredited by City & Guilds UK, photovoltaic (PV) arrays qualified person
certified by Scottish Qualifications Certificate and LEED AP Building Operations and
Maintenance certified by United States Green Building Council (USGBC). He has 16
years experience on healthcare engineering and facility management in managing and
monitoring the privatisation of Hospital Support Services (HSS) which include operation
and maintenance, engineering design, project management, asset management,
building engineering services, technical assesment, energy retrofitting works, green
building and sustainability program. He is actively involved in developing engineering
standard, guidelines, procedures and other professional activities for healthcare sector
in national and international level. He is also an invited lecturer for IIUM and UNIMAS on
Healthcare Facility Management programme.
