My story begins in China with a young woman named
Mulan. Mulan was a young woman about to be assigned a
husband, but Mulan did not believe in arranged marriage.
She believed that you should marry who you were fated
to. During this time there was a war going on in China
against the Huns.
The story begins when men from the army come to
recruit one intrepid man from each family. This meant that
Mulan’s father would have to serve, Mulan was daunt with
fear because she was worried for her father because he
served in the last war which resulted in a leg injury. So
Mulan wanted to take her father's place but was not
allowed by law because the government was biased
towards women. So Mulan decided to hoodwink the
government by dressing like a man in order to access the
army.
Mulan was very auspicious that men in China wore
their hair up in buns. When she got to the camp it was
very arduous to act like a man and was reviled when she
messed up causing her to want to abscond to disentangle
her father from having to go to war which reprieved her but
this feeling ended when the pompous and inanimate
general Shang Lee came over and started explaining how
if China was to lose this war then the government would
be gone it would become an anarchy. After he explained
this the training started which was arduous. Thanks to the
training Mulan became pliant.
Later on they were called into battle, and on their way
they saw a village completely incinerated. They kept going
and ran into the Huns who had a huge army of strong
men. So Mulan decided to take a bomb and shot it at the
mountain to cause an avalanche and it worked it took out
the army or so they thought. But the avalanche kept going
and started to chase them unfortunately Shang could not
get away in time and it started to push him off precipice,
but Mulan saved him but through all the excitement no one
realized that Mulan had a huge gash on her side until she
collapsed in Shangs arms. Shang rushed her to get
medical attention, but when they looked at her to stitch up
her gash they realized that she was a woman. According
to the Chinese law Shang was to kill her because
pretending to be a soldier was a worse crime than larceny.
But Shang spared her life because she saved his and then
they left her there.
After they left the Huns rose out of the snow. Mulan
knew that she had to warn them. So Mulan headed
towards town, she found Shang to tell him that China was
still in danger but he did not listen to her until he saw them
for himself after they took the Emperor. Mulan had a plan
to save China and it worked. Mulan was rewarded with a
medal and the Emperor's sword. She brought these as
gifts to her father to rectify for her leaving but he did not
care about the gifts just that she was home safe.
