The Sri Lankan Community
Football team kicked-off its
2019 tournament campaign
organized by the Qatar Football

Association (QFA).

Under the patronage of SLMQ,
the team presented the newly
branded jerseys to its players.

SLMQ fielded a football team that
participated in the

OZEE 7’s Veterans Football
Championship - 2019.

The SLMQ team’s performance
saw them reach the quarter finals

stage of the tournament.

A Meet & Greet initiative was
carried out to create an

opportunity for existing and
new/potential members to engage

and interact with one another.

The initiative saw a participation of
aprox. 100+ Sri Lankan Muslims
(Families) attending the event.

IDC - 2019 05

SLMQ held its 16th consecutive Annual
Independence Day Competition. The

program received over 200 registrations
among Sri Lankan students from various

schools in Qatar, who competed in
Colouring, Essay writing, Speech, Mono-

act and General knowledge quiz.

The program concluded with a food
fiesta featuring Sri Lanka dishes/food. HE

the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar
graced the event and awards ceremony

as the Chief Guest.

SLMQ provided financial support
towards conducting a

Seminar/workshop for graduates
who sat for the Teaching

Examination Finals in the North
Western Province of Sri Lanka.
The seminar was attended by 130+

potential teachers and was
conducted by leading Educationists

in Sri Lanka.
