Rachel Pearson (Logan) has appeared on the SCT stage
several times and her favorites are Agatha Christie’s Murder
on the Orient Express, 1776, and God of Carnage. She is
the daughter of the late Joyce and Bruce Pearson. She loves
spending time learning, singing, practicing yoga, and
traveling. She dedicates this performance, and all her
performances, to her mother, Joyce. “Now get ready
to laugh!”
David Price (Jaxton) is back on the SCT stage! He was last
seen on the SCT stage in 2012’s Footloose. He directed and
performed in Reel to Real in 2013, and for the past ten years
he has been the music director and drummer for Crystal
Cruises. His parents are Scott and Vicki Price and sisters:
Andrea Berthot and Megan Coberly. “I am happy to be back
performing at SCT! It’s always a pleasure, ever since my first
show at age 8.”
Claire Schmidt (Alicia) was last seen on the SCT stage in
Disney’s Freaky Friday, Rock of Ages, and was a choreographer
and winner of the 2020 DWSS. She is employed at Universal
Dance Association and as a dance teacher at CTA and
Revolution School of Dance. She also attends Kansas
Wesleyan University, where she is a senior. She is the daughter
of Troy and Vicki Schmidt and sister to Emily, Sara, and Maddy.
Claire loves spending time with her family, baking cookies,
living with her older sister, and playing video games with her
boyfriend, Ethan Badders.
Chaz Coberly (Caden) was last seen on the SCT stage in
1776, Singing in the Rain, and Cats. He is married to the
delightfully wonderful Megan Coberly and they share a
wonderful daughter, Alice. Chaz works as a trust
administrator at Advantage Trust Company, and spends his
free time at SCT where he teaches, directs, performs, and
serves on the board. He wants to thank you for supporting
theatre during these difficult times and hopes that you enjoy
this silly show!

where magic comes alive
CTA stands for Center for
Theatre Arts. This program has
grown exponentially over the past
several years.
We produce three shows a year, numerous camps and workshops, and provide year-round
classes in dance, vocal, and acting. CTA staff members are highly trained performers and are
dedicated to helping their students reach their full potential as well as providing them with rich
theatrical experiences on our stage. CTA enriches the lives of people in Salina and the
surrounding region by creating a broad range of quality theatrical programs for their
entertainment. Most importantly, CTA provides a positive, nurturing environment for youth to
develop their craft. Students learn to respect all aspects of theatre and receive a well-rounded
education in these areas.
We welcome all into this program with open arms. Learn how to become a part of the
CTA family by contacting the Education Director, Megan Coberly at 785-827-6126 or
at [email protected].
Photos by Karen Bonar, I love teaching at SCT because of the people! I love the people I
Heartland Photography work for and the people I work with especially the kids. SCT really
knows how to teach kids to love and appreciate the arts. You can
tell by the way the kids act in class.
Claire Schmidt teaches CTA classes and is playing
“Alicia” in The Thanksgiving Play.

Salina Community Theatre is excited to welcome our patrons back!
Here is what you can expect:
• Temperatures taken upon entry of the space of our volunteers, staff, and students.
• We have reduced our audience size by half capacity to allow for social distancing
between parties attending our shows.
• Seating will be staggerd (when possible) to allow for social distancing.
• Masks are required to be worn (covering the mouth and nose) by patrons, staff, students,
and volunteers at all times: In the lobby, in the theatre watching the show, at intermission,
walking around, etc.
• Salina Community Theatre reserves the right to alter reservations made online to
allow social distancing, as suggested by the Saline County Health Department.
• We are using plexiglass partitions and P.P.E.

Tips for a Superb Theatre Experience
f r o m Y o u r B o x Off i c e Ma n a g e r
Prior to the Performance
1. Purchase your tickets a week or more in advance for best choice of
performance date and seating. We often sell out, so tickets at the door may
be limited or not available.
2. Arrive 15-30 minutes ahead of curtain time to avoid the rush and for better
parking availability.
3. Use one of our conveniently located bathrooms in either the lobby or inside
the Kephart Theatre.
4. Purchase a snack or drink from our concessions area, located in the lobby.
The bar and concession stand are also open during intermission.
•••5. Read through and explore your Playbill to discover:
the actors, crew, and orchestra members involved in the production
musical numbers and setting(s) of the production

•what’s coming up next at SCT and CTA
••all our many invaluable supporters
6. As some of our patrons arrive late, please stay in your assigned seat at least
until intermission. If your current seat is unsatisfactory, please visit the box
office for help.
During the Performance
7. Video recording or taking pictures during any SCT or CTA performance is
strictly prohibited.
8. Please refrain from using your phone or any other electronic devices in any
way during the performance. This distracts other patrons, as well as the
performers on stage.
9. Stage lights are usually sufficient to refer to the Playbill. If you must use your
phone for illumination, do so during applause or at a scene break.
10. If you need to leave the theatre for any reason, please do so during applause
or at a scene break, unless it is an emergency. When returning to your seat,
please wait for applause or a scene break.
11.SCT welcomes children ages 5 and up (ages 3 and up for designated
performances and CTA productions). We understand children become restless
or upset at times. The SCT lobby is a quiet place to take your child when such
an instance arises.
If there’s anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please
drop by the Box Office and let us know.

Saint Francis Ministries
Saint Francis was founded by Fr. Robert Mize as a home
for children who had been abandoned, written off, and
forgotten, in need of a safe, loving place to call home.
Today, we continue that prairie priest’s dream in
providing healing and hope to children and families
across seven states and Central America.
Congratulations to Salina Community
Theatre on 60 years of providing arts
experiences to the young and not-so-
young who might not otherwise have
access to these enriching experiences!

For every stage
in a woman’s life.
Salina Women’s Clinic provides
comprehensive and highly
specialized health care at every
age and every stage of a woman’s
life—in a comfortable, personalized,
family-oriented atmosphere.
To welcome your newborn into
the world, our prenatal and
delivery teams are ready with the
latest technology, including 4D
sonograms that give you a clear
picture of your baby. For their
prenatal visits and delivery, the
great majority of our patients see
their own doctor—not someone
they’ve just met.
And from general wellness
check-ups to minimally invasive
hysterectomy surgery, Salina
Women’s Clinic is committed
to doing everything possible to

Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram Nissan
1928 Ward Marshall, Clay Center school teacher opens
dealership as Willy’s (Jeep) Whippet-Overland distributor.
1933 Chrysler-Plymouth distributorship started, grows to

Ward’s dealership prospered over the years, allowing the
dealership and its employees to be significant contributors to
the Salina community. That tradition continues today through
Ward’s grandson, Larry.
