THREE OF A KIND
WELCOME TO A NEW SERIES FOR 2020/21, WHERE WE’LL ASK PLAYERS, LEGENDS AND FANS
FOR THEIR SPURS TOP THREE - GOALS, MOMENTS, SAVES, MATCHES, MAYBE EVEN KITS!
PETER CROUCH
There’s a theme running through Peter Crouch’s favourite Spurs goals – UEFA Champions League.
From May 2010 through to February 2011, one goal leads to another. Okay, Crouchy doesn’t select them in that order,
but these three goals are all on the path that led us to the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition.
In fact, it all started way back in the mid-1990s, when Crouchy honed his skills alongside Ledley King in our Academy.
Ledley stayed at the Club all his life, Peter forged his career elsewhere until returning ahead of the 2009/10 season.
It’s the stuff dreams are made of from there. Crouchy scored the goal that took us into the Champions League at
City in May 2010, netted a hat-trick in the play-off to get us into the competition proper, scored our first goal of the
group stage in the famous win over holders Inter at the Lane and, finally, the winner in the first leg of our last 16 tie
against AC Milan in the San Siro.
HERE ARE CROUCHY’S ‘THREE OF A KIND’ – GOALS…

Crouchy: “Gareth Bale… what he was doing that night

so special, not because of the quality of the goal, but
because of the feeling and scoring in a win against the
holders. Champions League at the Lane, good times!”
