WORLD HERITAGE DAY (18.04.2022) World Heritage Day was celebrated for the first time in the world in Tunisia on April 18, 1982. In 1983 it was decided by the UNESCO to celebrate this day every year on 18 April. This year also, class X students observed World Heritage Day in school on 18th April 2022. This day is also known as the International Monuments and Sites day. This was spoken by MouliMandal in her speech. She also highlighted how ancient monuments and buildings are an asset to all nations around the world. Riya also spoke about the aim of celebrating this day- to spread awareness of the diversity of cultural heritage and the importance of preserving it for future generations. In their poems, Rishabh and Sneha also conveyed that India is a land of historical, religious and cultural artefacts. We should be proud of our heritage sites and should work towards their protection. INTERNATIO NAL EARTH DAY (22.04.2022) 22nd April is celebrated every year as 'International Earth Day' throughout the world. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make students aware about conserving our resources and saving our mother earth. The theme for GRADUATION CEREMONY (23.04.2022) The Graduation Ceremony of Class V Congratulations to the students for stepping into the Middle School. Mother’s Day Celebration (07.05.2022) Mother's Day, which falls on the Second Sunday of May every year, was observed through a Special Assembly. Children recited beautiful poems and spoke lovingly about their mothers. The 'Mother's Day Card Making Activity' was also organized for students of Classes Nursery to V. Students prepared beautiful cards for their mothers to express their love and affection for them. These cards have been displayed in the respective class groups. Vaccination camps CAMP 1 To ensure immunisation and subsequent safety of students against COVID- 19, a vaccination camp was organised in the school as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This camp was scheduled on 8th January 2022, by the Urban Primary Health Centre, Sukhrali, for students in the age group 15 to 18 years. The concerned class teachers had already informed the eligible students to get themselves vaccinated in the school, following all COVID protocols. The Vaccination Camp was a great success as the parents and students participated enthusiastically. A few students had already got vaccinated earlier while a few could not come because of ill health. The unvaccinated students have been told to get vaccinated at the earliest. CAMP 2 A Vaccination Camp was organised in the school premises on 22.02.2022, by the Urban Primary Health Centre, Sukhrali. The aim was to administer the 2nd dose of COVAXIN to the students who had got the Ist dose in the camp held in school on 8th January 2022, for the age group 15 to 18 years. Parents had already been informed in advance, as their presence was mandatory while their wards were being given the vaccine. In all, 40 students got their 2nd dose in school, while some students had already taken the 2nd dose in other medical centres. CAMP 3 A Vaccination Camp was organised in school on 06.04.2022 by the Urban Primary Health Centre, Sukhrali, under the National Vaccination Programme. The first dose of the CORBEVAX vaccine was administered successfully to 27 students in the age group 12-14 years. CAMP 4 A Vaccination Camp was organised in school on 12.05.2022 by the Urban Primary Health Centre, Sukhrali, under the National Vaccination Programme. The second dose of the CORBEVAX vaccine was administered successfully to students in the age group 12-14 years.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS CLUB ACTIVITIES NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY (MAY 23 TO MAY 29, 2022) The last week of May 2022 has been earmarked as National Deworming Day by the National Health Mission, Health Department, Haryana. The main objective is to ensure that school - going children do not suffer from worm infestation. In pursuance of this goal, members of the Health Department visited the school on 23.05.2022 and gave Albendazole tablets for students of Classes Nursery to XII. These were given to the students' parents, with appropriate instructions on how and when to administer the medicine. Parents responded positively to this initiative by the Government of Haryana. WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (06.07.2022) World Environment Day is celebrated globally every year on 5th June. The theme of this year was 'Only One Earth', which focuses on living in harmony with nature. As the school was closed for summer vacation in the month of June, Environment Day was observed in school on 6th July 2022, after school reopened. To mark this occasion, a special assembly was conducted by classes VI to XII. The programme started with the school prayer. KritikaYadav of class VI-A delivered a speech on the importance of Environment Day. Indu of class VII-A recited an English poem on Environment. POSHAN MAAH PAKHWADA – 26-09-22 Poshan Maah Pakhwada is celebrated throughout the nation every year in the month of September. The purpose of celebrating this Maah is to highlight the importance of nutrition and its relationship to physical and mental health among children. It was indeed heartening to see the tricolour fluttering in every institution and house, filling every heart with patriotic fervour.
CELEBRATION OF TEACHER’S DAY (05.09.2022 Teacher’s Day was celebrated in school by the students of Class XII, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr.Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, the second President of India. The aim was to pay respect to the great leader and to pay tribute to all teachersThe programme began with the lighting of the holy lamp by Chairman Sir and MD Ma’am. This was followed by an inspirational poem, a melodious group song and a graceful group dance – all MOCK DRILL FOR EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS- 06 JULY 2022 A Mock Evacuation Drill was conducted in school on 6 July 2022 to spread awareness about the steps and measures to be taken in case of any emergency such as an earthquake. As the siren sounded, everyone in the school classrooms performed 'Drop, Cover and Hold' exercise.
CROSS COUNTRY RUN-09-07-2022 As per Health and Physical Education guidelines, a cross-country run for students of Classes IX to XII was organised on 09-07-2022. 21 students took part in this crosscountry run. They were full of enthusiasm and zeal. Among the boys, RakshitYadav of class IX-A stood first, Bimol of class XI-B got the second position and the third position was shared by HitanshYadav X-A and Lakshit of class XII-B. Among the girls, Payal of class X-A got the first position, Ritu of class XIA and Yashika of class X-A got the second position and Yashvi of class XI-B stood third VISIT TO THE ORPHANAGE ‘DEEPASHRAM’- 30.07.2022 The Yuva Tourism Club of the school organised a visit to an orphanage, ‘Deepashram’, on 30th July 2022. Students of Classes VI to XII had donated clothes, books, toys etc. and they took these items to the Orphanage. These were distributed among the inmates of the ashram. This visit developed virtues of compassion and empathy among the students, who will never forget the experience.
FUNCTION ‘SWARNIM BHARAT’ (III TO V) – 18.08.2022 The function ‘Swarnim Bharat’ was organised on 18th August 2022 by the teachers and students of Classes III to V. The Chief Guest for the function was Mrs.ShakuntlaYadav. ‘GURU SAMMAAN SAMAROH’10.09.2022 Kalpana-Give Wings to your Imagination - Virtual Inter-School Fest 2022 A ‘Guru Sammaan Samaroh’ was organised by ‘Sanskriti ke Sarthi’, Haryana on 10.09.2022.The aim was to honour two teachers each, from 400 schools in Haryana, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day In the month of October 2022, our school conducted a virtual Inter-School Fest under the aegis of the GPSC. The competition comprised 3 events, all showcasing the rich diversity of our country. Students of 13 schools participated in these events, namely, Folk Dances of India, Indian Art Forms and Rangoli making.
ANNUAL FUNCTION – 19.10.2022 The function, 'BAL TARANG', was organised on 19.10.22 by the teachers and students of Classes Nursery to II. The Chief Guest for the function was Ms. PushpaBhalla, wife of Late Vice Admiral N Bhalla Meritorious students were then felicitated by the Chief Guest, with prizes and Certificates of Merit.
Annual Function, 'SAMUDRA MANTHAN', was organised on 17.12.22 by the teachers and students of Classes VI to XII. The Chief Guest for the function was Ms. JagdambeVerma (M.A., M. Phil and Ph.D in Sanskrit and M.A. Yoga). The function began with a Ganesh Vandana, followed by the acts and dances on the theme 'SAMUDRA MANTHAN'. VISIT OF JAPANESE DELEGATION OISCA INTERNATIONAL, JAPAN21.12.22 17.12.2022 Mr. YasuakiNagaishi, Vice President, OISCA Japan, along with other delegates from Japan visited the school on 21 Dec 2022.
