Post his studies in Waterford in 1987 Niall worked on the conversion of a Norman Keep private residence on a 400 acre island into what is now Waterford Castle Island Resort. In 1988 Niall travelled to Asthemanagingdirector,Niallhasbeenresponsibleforurbandesignandmasterplanningprojects in Europe and North Africa, working closely with clients on large commercialschemes,such asthe new urban master plan of the Czosnow Community just outside Warsaw, Poland, the mixed use Town Center Scheme for Banbury in the UK down and the new Artefacts Museum Campus at Niall has undertaken. Management Team Biographies Ian Fewer BSc. Arch. BA Arch (Hons) , MRIAI, MRIBA Ian Fewer is chartered member of both the British & Irish Royal institute of the architects. Ian is passionate about design and the built environment and his position as Partner in charge of design allows him to instil his energy for design and innovation within Fewer Harrington & Partners.Ian studied architecture in UPC Barcelona University and graduating with honours from Dundee University, and began his career with Hamilton & Associates in London where he gained experience on large-scale residential and commercial projects. Ian joined Fewer Harrington & Partners in 2004 and became a Partner in 2008, and in that period worked on various large-scale projects both locally and internationally. He has gained valuable expertise and knowledge in large retail, healthcare and mixed uses developments and specializes in master planning and urban design. Ian has extensive International business experience in the construction sector and has worked on projects in the UK, Ireland, Poland, Spain, UAE and Saudi Arabia. Ian’s knowledge and environment. His approach to businessisfocused around problem solving and clientsatisfaction. Ian is also director of Chamber of Commerce of Ireland since 2008 and is on the Economic and Planning Committee for Waterford City since 2008. He is also the Chairman of Ireland’s only Festival of Architecture Since 2009 and is on the Finance Committee for the Waterford Tall Ships Festival 2011. Tony Power Dip Arch Tech Tony Power graduated from WIT and joined the practice in June 1980. He is part of the Senior Management Team of Fewer Harrington and Partners and has direct responsibility for Operations, Resource Planning and Implementation of projects, both domestic and international, from inception to handover. As Technical Director he is responsible for overall Project Co-ordination technical support and a quality control function on individual projects. He has worked on all the educational, leisure, commercial and residential projects from inception to completion. He also has extensive site and project management experience and adopts a hands-on approach to all projects. In conjunction with hisrole in FHP, Tony is Operations Director for Architecture for Pivotal International, which allows him to use hisskillsfor all Pivotal International projectsin conjunction with the entire Pivotal team. He is the practice specialist on Industrial, Healthcare and particularly Pharmaceutical projects and has developed specialist interest and knowledge in current manufacturing processes and trendsin the industry.His knowledge of ProcessArchitecture, ability to develop accurate and complete briefs, with client interaction through workshops, combined with his Project Management skills in managing design teams provides for a fully comprehensive leading edge design approach on all projects. Tony has previously carried out projects in the UK and USA and is currently working on developments in Ireland, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Mark Kennedy BSc Arch (Hons), BSc Arch Tech (Hons) Mark has been involved with Fewer Harrington & Partners since 2003 and has been instrumental in the marketing of the business and the development of contactsin the GCC and the Middle East. With over 10 years architectural experience, Mark has led the management, design and delivery ofsmall, medium and large scale developments, in the healthcare, education, commercial, leisure, industrial and residential sectors in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Throughout his career, Mark has progressed quickly from graduate through the practice with proven skills in project management in all stages of development, design & construction. With a dedicated and collaborative approach, he employs his technical knowledge, design ability and attention to detail to ensure the planning, designing and construction of buildings and developments are to the highest quality. Ailis Strang BA (Hons) MSC (Agr) Erm Ailis graduated from UCD and joined J.B.Barry & Partners, Consultant Engineers as environmental consultant, coordinating specialist teams in Environmental Impact Assessment of a number of the major national road improvement schemes. In 2004 she formed her own independent planning consultancy and merged her practice with Fewer, Harrington & Partners in 2007. Ailis has extensive knowledge of Irish Planning Law and Procedures, Environmental Regulations and Guidelines. Ben Hemeryck Dip Arch Tech Ben graduated from WIT and joined Fewer McGinley, Waterford in 1994. He worked there until 2001 when he relocated to Dublin. In 2003 he re-joined Fewer Harrington & Partners, and management of projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, educational, commercial and residential sectors. Jan Czarniecki B Arch (Hons) State of Illinois Licensed Jan recieved his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1974. He has held responsible positions in the real estate development and construction sectors development for Central and Eastern Europe. Francisco Javier De Leon Vazquez BA Arch (Hons) Architect Before becoming a regional Director in FHP in Mexico in 2013. Javier studying architecture in UNAM’s School of Architecture in Mexico City and UPC Barcelona, and graduating in his alma projects and commercial showrooms. He got a specialization degree in urban design in Cergy Pontoise University, France, which lead him to work in large urban scale projects. He worked for 3 yearsin Ireland with Fewer Harrington & Partners gaining experience in international architecture practices in residential, leisure, urban and commercial design and project management. He is currently responsible for the Graphic Design department delivering package, label, corporate,strategy, branding, and industrial design to clientsin Mexico, USA, Central America and Europe. Being an architect he passionately contributes with the DLP’s architecture department with his knowhow and experience mixing both the commercial and aesthetic requirements of any project. His architecture background has helped him envision design as a universal practice that can involve many design professionals in the delivery of any project. Eduardo De Leon Vazquez BA Arch (Hons) Architect Eduardo studied at UNAM’s Architecture School in Mexico City with studies in Seville (etsaS) and Barcelona (UPC). Before becoming a regional Director in FHP in Mexico, he worked in SCAP (Soluciones Corporativas de Arquitectura y Planeación), GDU (Grupo de Diseño Urbano), Kolic y Asociados and Gutiérrez Arquitectos, all in Mexico City. In 2006 he joined Fewer Harrington & Partners working as Architecture team Leader. He worked in residential, leisure, urban and commercial design back in Ireland. In 2007, he worked in Warsaw, Poland for FHP leading the design team for one of the biggest hotel developments as well as it’s master plan in Czóznow, Poland. Making his way back to Mexico City in 2008, he became a partner at De León Profesionales leading the Architecture Firm. He became a regional Director in FHP 2013.
