June 19, 2024 Dear 8th Grade Parents, Guardians, and Students, It brings me great joy to extend a warm welcome to all of you as we celebrate the accomplishments of our eighth graders at Millburn Middle School. Transitioning from middle school to high school marks a significant milestone in a student’s academic journey. Just three short years ago, these remarkable individuals stepped into our halls as essentially elementary school students. Throughout this time, we've witnessed their growth—physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually—into the young adults they are today. The transformation during these middle school years never fails to astonish us. The Class of 2028 is an exceptional group, embodying diverse talents and qualities. Among them are students with outstanding academic potential, gifted musicians, exceptional athletes, and individuals with countless other admirable traits. They are not just ready, but eager to take on the challenges that lie ahead in high school and are poised to achieve remarkable things. As our students prepare to bid farewell to Millburn Middle School, I urge them to deeply reflect on the Six Pillars of Leadership: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. These principles have been ingrained in them through various lessons and experiences, serving as unwavering guides during both triumphs and trials. Today, we bid farewell to the Class of 2028. Your impact on Millburn Middle School will be enduring, and the experiences you've gathered within and beyond these walls have equipped you to embrace new opportunities, overcome challenges, and navigate the complexities of life.
