DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Director's Note
It has been such an honor to return to my alma mater this year in an entirely different role! When
choosing a show for this yearÕs musical, I wanted to pick something that the students could both
relate to and learn from and something that would resonate with audiences of all ages. Footloose
celebrates the passion and energy of youth and emphasizes the importance of a healthy balance in
life.
Thank you to my wonderful cast for your enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work. It has truly been a
pleasure watching you grow over the past few months and I am so proud of each and every one of
you. Thank you as well to Jessica Siegel for the millions of things you have done and continue to do
to make this show happen. You are an incredible educator and supporter of the arts and Millburn is
so very lucky to have you. Thank you to Tom Rowe for a beautiful set and lighting design, to
Matthew Spatz and our stage and tech crew for all of your work behind the scenes, to Bruce De La
Cruz and our wonderful musicians for making the show sound so good, to Angela Bardes for your
support throughout the process, and to everyone else who played a role in bringing this show to life!
This show has been a labor of love for every individual involved and I think that shows on stage. We
hope you enjoy and remember every so often that you gotta cut loose!
