WHO'S WHO Willa Maurette as Belle Willa, a senior, is super excited to perform in her seventh and final Limelight production! Previous roles include Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood (Marian/Robin Hood), Little Women (Amy), and 9 to 5 Jr (Judy). SheÕd like to thank Lindsay, Matt, Dr. Siegel, Dr. Bardes, and the entire cast and crew of Beauty and the Beast! This performance is for her Uncle David. She hopes everybody enjoys the show! Ben Seifer as Beast Ben Seifer, a junior, is thrilled to be back on stage in his 6th Limelight Production this time as the Beast! Other Limelight roles include Little John (Marian, or The True Tale of Robin Hood), Nick (The PROM), Mr. Boddy (Clue), and ensemble roles (SpongeBob and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time). Other roles Ben has portrayed include John Brooke (Little Women), Charles Deetz (Beetlejuice Jr.), Joe (9 to 5 Jr.), Nick Bottom (Something Rotten Jr.) and Brett (13 Jr.). WHO'S WHO Maeve Ryan as Lefou Maeve is so excited to be a part of her fourth Limelight production at MHS. She was previously in SpongeBob, The Prom, and Marian or the True Tale of Robin Hood. Maeve would like to thank Lindsay, Mr. Vega, Matt, and all of the cast, crew, and producers for their amazing support throughout this process. She has had such a fun time playing the role of Lefou and is so excited for everyone to see this amazing musical! Scott Braunstein as Maurice Scott is excited to be taking part in yet another Limelight production at MHS as Maurice in Beauty and the Beast. This marks Scott's fifth show with Limelight, adding to the 30+ shows he has been a part of collectively throughout his acting years. Scott's experience in this production has been incredible. Reese Solomon as Cogsworth Reese, a sophomore, is thrilled to be back for his second year and his third Limelight production. WHO'S WHO John Allyn as Lumiere John is a Junior and is thrilled to be a part of Beauty and the Beast, his sixth Limelight production! He was in Peter Pan Live on NBC as Michael Darling and in School of Rock on Broadway as Billy the Stylist. He was in last yearÕs Spring Musical, The Prom, as Trent Oliver! He would like to thank his friends and family for their endless love and support; Dr. Siegel and Dr. Bardes for being the best producers, Mr. Vega for being the best music director, and finally Lindsay for all her hard work and leadership. Thank you to the incredible cast & crew for the best experience! Ollie Struwig as Babette Ollie is so excited to be performing in this production of Beauty and the Beast as Babette! She has been involved in the theatre for quite a while, performing in summer camps when she was younger and more recently attending programs at the Papermill Playhouse, and participating in Beetlejuice this summer with Pixie Dust Players. WHO'S WHO Emily Newman as Chip/Young Prince Emily is in third grade at Glenwood and thrilled to make her MHS debut as Chip. In her latest performance, she played Rapunzel in Fairytale Courtroom in her creative drama class at the Papermill Playhouse. She also played Molly in Annie and LeFou in Beauty and the Beast at her summer camp last year. In her free time, Emily loves to read, sing, and play with her friends. WHO'S WHO Ava Alcosser as La Fille 2/Napkin/Ensemble Ava is thrilled to perform in her second Millburn High School musical. She would like to thank Mr. Vega, Lindsay, Dr. Bardes, and Dr. Siegel for all their hard work and leadership and another thank you to her family and Adrienne Mckeown for all their support, and the cast and crew of Beauty and the Beast for making this show an amazing experience! Sanjana Krishnan as La Fille 3/Napkin/ Ensemble Sanjana is currently a sophomore at MHS and is so excited to be doing her second Limelight production. Sanjana has been involved in community theater since she was in kindergarten. She would like to thank all the directors, producers, crew, and cast for making this production so special. Dr. William Miron as Monsieur D'Arque Though he has made countless appearances at the auditorium podium, Beauty and the Beast marks Dr. Miron's second official performance on the Limelight stage. In his prior role in 2016's The Drowsy Chaperone, Dr. Miron played the superintendent of the building, responsible for turning the lights back on. In this performance, he shows very little range as Monsieur D'Arque, the proprietor of the Maison Des Lunes, as dealing with day to day insanity is a banal and pedestrian reality in his real life role as high school principal. Ryan Hoh as Baker/Villager/Wolf/Crony 1/Knife/ Ensemble Ryan is a 9th grader who has loved performing ever since he was 3 years old singing karaoke in his grandparents' basement. Roles he's played in the past include Troy Bolton in MMS' High School Musical and Rudolpho in MMS' Matilda. WHO'S WHO Vedanta Mishra as Narrator/Bookseller/Villager/ Crony 2/Bowl/Ensemble Vedanta is a senior this year and is very excited to once more be a part of the musical. As the understudy for Maurice, the Narrator, the Bookseller and a Bowl, Vedanta hopes that this musical production is able to captivate the audience. Daniel Sinoway as Shepherd/Villager/Knife/ Ensemble Daniel is so excited to be performing in his second Limelight production! Last year, he took the stage in the ensemble of The Prom. He would like to thank Lindsay, Mr. Vega, Dr. Siegel, and Dr. Bardes for all of their help in producing this incredible show. He is sad it is over, but thrilled to finally be able to perform it in front of an audience. He hopes that everyone will enjoy the show! WHO'S WHO Malia Baumann as Candle Maker/Villager/Plate/ Ensemble Malia is a freshman and is thrilled to be in her first limelight production! At MMS sheÕs performed in Matilda as Amanda and Taylor in HSM. When sheÕs not performing, Malia loves doing dance competitions, doing karaoke with her friends, and playing ukulele. She is so grateful to have this opportunity and thanks the cast, crew, Lindsay, Mr. Vega, and her parents for their endless support and dedication to the show! Rayna Batreja as Hat Seller/Villager/Plate/ Ensemble Rayna is excited to perform in her second show with the Limelight Players! Since the age of 4, singing and dancing have been two of her biggest passions and she has competed for both categories. More recently, she has expanded her interest to theater by taking part in productions including 13 Jr. and The Prom. When Rayna is not performing, she spends her time drawing, debating, and helping her community. She would also like to thank everyone who made this show possible, from the directors, Lindsay and Mr. Vega, who worked tirelessly to her friends who rehearsed by her side! WHO'S WHO Ava Bernstein as Villager/Gargoyle/Fork/ Ensemble Ava is so excited to be making her Limelight debut! Ava loves performing on the stage and is so excited to be in an MHS show. Some of AvaÕs favorite performances include Newsies Jr (Katherine), High School Musical (Gabriella), 9 to 5 Jr (Margaret), 101 Dalmatians (Anita) and more. Ava would love to thank Mrs. Lindsay, Mr. Vega, and every person who worked so hard to get us here and spent so much effort on the making of this show. Chelsea Daxl as Villager/Gargoyle/Fork/ Ensemble Chelsea is a freshman and is super pumped to be doing this show! She enjoys designing rooms and dancing. She has been in Matilda, High School Musical, 101 Dalmatians, PLENTY of Seussical the Musicals, and many other shows. She enjoys acting because it allows her to be "over the top." Chelsea's favorite part of the production is the choreography for "Be Our Guest" as she messes up even the easiest dance moves. She would like to thank Lindsay and Mr. Vega for repeating the same note for her over and over again. Eliana Biller as Villager/Salt/Ensemble Eliana is so excited to be participating in her third Limelight production! She has always enjoyed performing, whether it be acting in a Disney Channel production or performing an impromptu stand up comedy show in front of friends. WHO'S WHO Liam Murphy as Villager/Bowl/Beast Double/ Ensemble Liam is very excited about being in Beauty in the Beast this year. This is his first musical at MHS, though he was in the MMS productions of Matilda and High School Musical. He has loved getting to work with everyone on this production and hopes to be in many more in the future. Outside of school, Liam likes to run cross-country and track, produce music, and play the violin. Ashna Swaroop as Villager/Spoon/Ensemble Ashna is a freshman at Millburn High School and is so excited to be in her first Limelight production! She was previously in Matilda and High School Musical at the middle school and loves being on stage. Ashna would like to thank her friends and family for the endless support, as well as Lindsay, Mr. Vega, and all of the people that worked so hard to make this production come together! Daniel Vitetta as Villager/Knife/Ensemble Daniel is filled with excitement as he prepares to take the stage in Millburn High's performance of Beauty and the Beast. This marks his inaugural performance in a high school production, and he couldn't be more thrilled. WHO'S WHO Lindsay Maron Director and Choreographer Lindsay is thrilled to be back at MHS for a fifth year! In addition to her work at the high school, she is the founder and artistic director of Pixie Dust Players, a youth focused theatre company. Lindsay has directed and choreographed 70+ productions since 2008. In addition to working on numerous existing titles, she has worked with licensing companies and creators to help cultivate over a dozen new adaptations including working directly with Stephen Schwartz on Children of Eden, JR. In addition to producing and directing, Lindsay has been performing all her life. Most recent credits include Jo in Little Women, Natalie in Next to Normal, Sophie in Mamma Mia, and Maggie in A Chorus Line (Algonquin Arts Theatre). Lindsay is a proud graduate of Millburn High School (Ô13) and Northwestern University (Ô17). Rodrigo Vega Music Director Rodrigo Vega has been a vocal coach and chorus director in New Jersey, New York and Virginia public schools for 18 years. Mr. Vega holds degrees in music from Westminster Choir College (B.M.) and James Madison University (M.M.). At MHS, he conducts the choirs and teaches Music Theory. Besides his teaching duties in Millburn, Mr. Vega performs with various choral ensembles throughout New Jersey and New York, and performs as a professional freelance soloist. Anthony Fabrizio Pit Conductor Mr. Fabrizio is a Band Director at Millburn High School, where he conducts the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Spring Musical Pit Orchestra, in addition to teaching the AP Music Theory course. Outside of MHS, Mr. Fabrizio regularly performs with several orchestras, wind ensembles, and chamber groups. WHO'S WHO Sean Puzzo Set Design Sean is an NJ based experiential graphic designer. MHS Limelight set designs include Mamma Mia, Curious Incident..., Spongebob, Clue, The Prom, and Marian. He is also the resident production designer for Pixie Dust Players. Tom Rowe Lighting Design and Technical Support Mr. Rowe trained in New York City so many years ago. HeÕs worked on and off Broadway, for many dance companies, regional theaters all around the country and community theaters in New Jersey. The Goodbye People, Runaways, Happy End, Alice, Billy Bishop Goes to War, and For Colored GirlsÉ. are some of his Broadway credits. HeÕs worked for The Public Theater, Delacorte Theater, Chelsea Theater Center, American Ballet Theater, The Joffrey Ballet, Dan Wagoner and Dancers; and The Cleveland Ballet. Mr. Rowe taught and designed scenery and lighting at Raritan Valley Community College for 7 years. For 10 years he was resident lighting designer and production manager for Union County Performing Arts Center. Mr. Rowe has been designing lights at Millburn High School for the last 10 years. WHO'S WHO Matt Dranzik Stage Combat Director Matt Dranzik has been teaching, directing, and performing in theatre for over 15 years. Since graduating from his MFA in Physical Theatre, he has worked on productions across the US and Europe, and found a home in NJ managing and teaching in a circus school in Hillsborough for nearly five years. Since moving closer to the Millburn area, he has been involved in multiple local and Millburn High School productions. Most recent credits include; Director/Choreographer for Little Women the Musical (Pixie Dust Players), Puppet Fabricator and Coach for How to Train your Dragon JR pilot production (Pixie Dust Players), Combat Choreographer for Marian or the True Tale of Robin Hood (Millburn HS), and Circus Coach for Prom the Musical (Millburn HS). Matt is thankful for being part of this production along with the incredible creative team, cast and crew and hopes our audiences enjoy this tale as old as time. Christine Ruhnke Costume Designer Beauty and the Beast marks the 3rd musical and 5th production of the Limelight Players that Christine has had the pleasure of costuming. It brings her such joy to see these wonderfully talented young performers grow in their craft year after year. This production was indeed a "BEAST" for costuming and it could not have been achieved without the assistance of many. To all who offered their time, a million thank yous! WHO'S WHO Sophia Palumbo Associate Costume Designer Sophia Palumbo is a senior and is excited to be on the costume team for Beauty and the Beast. She has previously worked on other Limelight Productions, and was a member of the costume team for the local production company, Pixie Dust Players. Sophia would specifically like to thank Nitya Tunk for her amazing help! Becker Kotob Mechanic/Invention Creator This is Becker's first time helping with a high school play, and he was the lead designer and builder of Maurice's invention. Becker was recruited to help with this intricate prop because of his skill and interest in mechanical engineering, which he hopes to study in college. CREW WHO'S WHO Elise Samson Stage Crew Leader Elise is ecstatic to be working on Beauty and the Beast alongside an amazing cast and crew. As a senior, she has enjoyed working on multiple shows during her high school career, including Spongebob: The Musical, Clue, and The Prom: The Musical. She is grateful to be part of the production of Beauty and the Beast as her final show in her high school. She would like to thank everyone involved in the musical--including pit orchestra, directors, parents, and the many staff and students--for their hard work and dedication to the show for the past months. Joey Sorkin Stage Crew Leader Joey is more than excited to finish off his high school theater career with Beauty and The Beast. HeÕs been a part of Millburn theater productions for seven years: starting as the Lighting Technician for Shrek: The Musical back in 2017 and now as the Backstage Director (alongside Elise Samson) for this year's performances. HeÕd like to thank the amazing cast, pit, and teachers heÕs worked with over the years to make productions like this possible and enjoyable, but most importantly the crew for being such an amazing community in the weeks leading up to each and every production.
