2.0 INTRODUCTION
Libraries are collections of books, manuscripts, journals, and other sources of

recorded information. They commonly include reference works, such as encyclopedia that
provide factual information and indexes that help users find information in other sources;
creative works, including poetry, novels, short stories, music scores, and photographs;
nonfiction, such as biographies, histories, and other factual reports; and periodical
publications, including magazines, scholarly journals, and books published as part of a
series. As home use of records, CD-ROM, and audiotapes and videotapes has increased,
library collections have begun to include these and other forms of media, too.

The word library came from German, Russian and the Romance languages. It come
from Latin word ‘Liber’ which is mean book. Other than that Latin Greek word bibliotheca
is also the origin word for library. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American
media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films, independently
produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in American comic books
published by Marvel Comics. The franchise also includes comic books, short films,
television series, and digital series. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel
Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings,
cast, and characters.

Marvel was started in 1939 by Martin Goodman under a number of corporations
and imprints but now known as Timely Comics, and by 1951 had generally become known
as Atlas Comics. The Marvel era began in 1961, the year that the company launcher The
Fantastic Four and other superhero titles created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and
many others. The Marvel brand, which had been used over the years, was solidified as the
company's primary brand. Marvel counts among its characters such well-known
superheroes as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine, Black
Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, Blade, Daredevil and
the Punisher. Superhero teams exist such as the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four
and the Guardians of the Galaxy as well as supervillains including Doctor Doom, Magneto,
Thanos, Ultron, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Red Skull, Loki, Venom, Dormammu,

22 | M A R V E L C I N E M A T I C U N I V E R S E L I B R A R Y

Galactus, and Kingpin. Most of Marvel's fictional characters operate in a single reality
known as the Marvel Universe, with most locations mirroring real-life places; many major
characters are based in New York City.

Additionally, Marvel has published licensed properties including Star Wars comics
twice from 1977 to 1986 and again since 2015.We choose Marvel Cinematic Universe
(MCU) because of the Marvel character shows that how powerful they are if they were
together and also the character show they will never give up and defeat the villain. We also
choose this theme because of Marvel self-have many followers around the world and it
growing time by time. Besides that, Marvel also have many characters that inspired people
around the world. The character such as Captain America, Iron man, Thor and others. It
also shows that the influence of Marvel character that always become heroic character that
always help people. Other reason why chooses Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as our
library theme because of the theme was to attract visitors to visit our library and besides
that they will gain more information about Marvel and can see the collection of the Marvel
Character.

2.1 LIBRARY BUILDING
Library Building

We design our building just like in the movie so it will attract our users visits our
library. Other than that, we design our library building just like a Marvel building. We also
use this building because of it look modern and more futuristic and it also show that a
modern building become a library and to share the experience of Marvel to our visitor. The
building was inspired by Stark tower the character of Iron man in the Marvel movie. Other
than that, we also have chosen the grey colour as our main colour for outside view because
of the grey colour does not absorb the sunlight in fact it will reflect the sunlight.
