REALITIES
LAGUNA COLLEGE OF ART + DESIGN
LCAD’s multidisciplinary BFA program in Extended Reality
Design (XRD) includes the immersive technologies of both
virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
As a student of LCAD’s XRD program, you will develop the
skills necessary to apply AR/VR technologies in a myriad
of different entertainment and enterprise solutions across
multiple industries.
Leading edge software and hardware, theoretical and
critical studies, and purposeful play will be used in project
based learning to advance your extended reality design
skill sets. The XRD program is aligned with industry and
will allow you the possibility to work on real life projects
with creative corporate partners such as BMW Designworks,
Disney Interactive, Oculus, Sony Music, Sony Pictures,
and  others.

LCAD’s Game Art BFA is a project-based and highly GAME ART
cooperative program. Over the course of your studies
as a Game Art major, you will acquire a broad range LAGUNA COLLEGE OF ART + DESIGN
of skill sets that begin with a foundation in traditional
representationalism. Upon this foundation, you will
assemble art teams with graduate partners like USC’s
GamePipe Laboratory and LCAD’s Game Design MFA
to work on games that may ship as a full products or
enjoy feature in the Independent Game Festival (IGF).
As a graduate of LCAD’s Game Art program, you will
be multi-disciplined, team-minded, industry-ready,
and employable in any studio, style, or software
environment. This will keep studios knocking at your
door when they are looking to hire.
