IDENTITIES

There lived a guy named Ace. Ace is 22 years old, he had good grades, a good
reputation, and loves to socialize. His best friend is Leo, Leo on the other hand

was an introvert, has a small circle of friends, has no family, and likes
fishing.One day Leo invited Ace to his birthday party.Ace attended it, and when
he got there, he wished Leo, gave him a gift and they started chatting. After a

while, Ace saw a girl walk into the party, and he was mesmerized by her
beauty.Ace asked Leo about the girl, and Leo said that the girl studied in the

same college as them.Ace was surprised as he has never seen her before.

The next day, Ace waited at the college entry hoping he would see her, After
a few minutes he saw her coming with his classmate, Kylie. In class he sat
beside Kylie, Kylie asked “what's up?”.Ace for nervous and asked her about
the girl. Kylie smirked and told him that her name was Amelia and that she
was in a gaming club.Ace thanked her and left. He told Leo about the girl,
and Leo suggested Ace join the gaming club.Ace considered it and joined,
turns out Amelia is very good at gaming. Fortunately Ace was just as good.
There was a tournament in the club and Ace had to go up against Amelia in
“Overwatch”.Amelia won the match after the tough battle. When Ace was
sitting at the canteen with Leo, Amelia approached Ace and told him that he
was impressive and one of the hardest opponents she has ever faced. She
asked for his number, Ace looked at Leo for a quick second and gave her his
number with no hesitations. They would text every day and often met in a
coffee shop.

One day, when Leo and Ace were about to submit a project to this one lecturer that they
disliked, they saw her lying on the floor with blood all over the place. They were shocked and
scared, they ran to the front office to report the incident. The police came and investigated.
Leo took Ace away saying that they did not need to be involved in any of this. A few days
passed and everything came back to normal. The police closed the case as there was no
evidence of who did it. In the afternoon, Leo was sitting alone minding his own business, all of
a sudden 3 guys came up to him and bullied him verbally by calling him an orphan and that he
has nobody.Ace noticed what was going on and chased them away as Leo was just keeping
quiet.Ace asked Leo about why didn’t he stand up for himself. Leo just said “let god handle
that”.Ace shook his head and gave him a drink.Ace asked whether Leo could hang out with him
in the evening, and Leo said he couldn’t join him because he wants to go fishing. Amelia saw
Ace and Leo, and just as soon as she sat there Leo left the place. Amelia asked Ace who was his
first crush.Ace hesitantly said no one, and he asked her why did she suddenly ask such a
question. She said she was curious and ran away blushing.Ace was confused, and as he was
about to get up he saw that Leo has left his phone behind. He took the phone with him and
decided to pass it on to Leo later in the evening.

(THE UGLY TRUTH)

In the evening Ace drove to Leo’s home and as soon as he got there he saw Leo leave his house, that’s
when he remembered that Leo wanted to go fishing. He thought to himself, it won't hurt to join Leo as
he could return his phone plus he had nothing to do. He followed Leo’s car, the direction that Leo was
driving to was nowhere near any fishing sources. Leo stopped beside a jungle. Ace watched from a
distance as Leo pulled out a bow from his car and walked into the jungle. Ace followed Leo with a lot of
questions in his head. Leo went deep into the jungle and he was approaching an old shack. Ace hid
behind a tree and saw Leo go in. After 2 minutes the 3 guys who bullied Leo earlier came crashing out
the door. Leo walked behind them with his bow and just stood still. The 3 guys were trembling in fear.
Leo told them to run away and as they started to run Leo pulled his bow, aimed for one of them, and
shot him in the neck.
The other 2 guys kept running in the jungle and Leo just walked as he pulled his bow again. Another guy
was shot in the head. The last man standing was hiding behind a tree, just when he thought he had
survived Leo slits his throat from behind with a knife. Ace couldn’t believe his eyes, he ran back to his car
and just drove home.

The next day in college both students came as per normal.Ace returned the
phone but was scared to talk with Leo and avoided getting close to him.
Amelia noticed that Ace was trying to distance himself from Leo. She asked
Ace if they fought, but Ace denied it and left. The continuing day a piece of
news about a masked man killing people near Ace’s neighborhood was
shown on the TV.Ace saw the news and turned it off. Amelia called Ace and
warned him to be on guard, as there is a killer near his neighborhood, Ace
said “I know, you take care” and hung up, Amelia was worried, she felt
something was wrong with Ace. She went to Leo’s home to ask about Ace.
Leo let her in, Amelia asked Leo about what happened between him and
Ace. Leo said nothing happened and he just had not talked with Ace as he
seemed to be busy. Amelia casually asked if he knew about the masked man,
Leo said “the masked man? who is he?”, Amelia replied, “come on don’t tell
me that you don’t know him, he was the one who killed 2 of our politicians
and many more, even last night a murder took place”.Leo said “interesting”
and he got a phone call, he attended the call and told Amelia to hang on as
he went upstairs.

(PICTURES)

Amelia felt bored and decided to look around his house. She saw
something on a table nearby, it was some pictures, she took it to have a
look, she was shocked to see that all of those pictures are pictures of
many dead people including the 3 guys that has gone missing from the
college. She then kept the pictures back in their place and quickly went
out into her car and drove away. When Leo came back down he saw
that Amelia had left, he then walked to the kitchen, and on the way he
noticed something, he placed the pictures facing downwards but now
it's upwards. He put two and two together and knew she had seen it
and left out of fear.

In college, during their lunch break, Amelia saw Ace sitting alone and she
walked towards him, as she got close, Leo came out of nowhere and
whispered: “Tell anyone about what you saw last night and you will join my
picture collection”.Amelia froze and Leo sat beside Ace, Leo asked Ace why
he rarely talked with him these days, Ace put a smile on and said nothing
was wrong, and they started talking again like old friends. Amelia somehow
wanted to warn Ace about Leo. Later that day Amelia texted Ace, she asked
if he was alone, and she got a yes as a reply, Amelia then texted back “I saw
some pictures at Leo’s place yesterday, it was many pictures of dead people
including the missing guys from our college”.Unfortunately, Leo was with
Ace and had his phone at that time because Ace was too busy playing video
games. Leo deleted those messages and her contact. Amelia knew
something was wrong as Ace would never leave her in seen.

(IT’S UP TO YOU KYLIE)

Amelia was scared and went down to drink some water. It was snowing out
there, she took a glass of water and drank it, she heard something behind
her and turned around quickly, turns out it was just her cat. She then went
up and slept. Later that night, she woke up to a noise. Leo was in the room
with her, Amelia started to scream. Leo said, “didn’t I warn you?”.She tried to
run away, but Leo caught her and pinned her to the wall, Amelia saw a table
beside her and a pen was on it. She took the pen and poked his thigh. Leo
flinched in pain and Amelia took the opportunity to run away, she locked
herself in the bathroom and sent a voice message to Ace saying that Leo is a
killer and he is trying to kill her. Leo broke into the bathroom and slapped her
and took her to the bedroom and tied a rope around her neck and attached
it to the fan and made it look like a suicide. He took her phone but it was
locked. He broke the phone and threw it into the chimney.

The next morning Ace woke up. He noticed that he received a voice message
from an unknown number. He tapped on it and turned on the audio. He
rushed to Amelia’s house, the police were there, and he cried in his car after
realizing what had happened. He drove to Leo’s house in anger when Leo
opened the door Ace punched his face, Leo said “what's wrong man?
chill”.Ace said, “I know you killed Amelia, she sent me a voice message
before she got killed”.Leo said “sorry man had to do it” and reached out for
a vase that was made out of glass nearby and smashed it on Ace’s head.Ace
fainted with blood on his head, Leo puts him in the car, and drove to the sea.
Leo tied Ace to a huge rock and pushed him into the sea. As Ace drowned
Leo drove back home and relaxed after the tiring day.

After a few days the news spread in the college, Amelia is dead and Ace is missing,
Kylie heard about it and was worried about Ace as he or his body has not been
found. During break time, when she was walking to the canteen she saw the
masked man-like figure in the corner of her eye. She took a double take but there
was no one there. Kylie asked Leo if he knew anything, Leo replied: “Why do you
care so much about them, whatever happened has happened we can't change the
past”.Kylie was shocked by his response and said: “How could you say that? They
are our friends, if anything happens we are the ones who need to have each
other's back”.Leo sighed and left, Kylie was clueless. She had an idea, she wanted
to break into Ace’s home. After college ended she went to his house and broke in,
she took a look around the house. A noise came from upstairs and she ran up to
check it out, turns out his house was getting robbed, the man was wearing a
hoodie and Kylie didn’t get to see his face because as soon as he saw Kylie he
threw something on the floor and jumped out the window.

The thing he threw released a lot of smoke which blurred her visuals for a
few seconds. After the smoke got lighter she noticed that his computer was
on. She saw Amelia’s number on the screen, she checked deeper and found
the voice message Ace got before she died and when Ace went missing. She
knew Leo was behind it all at this point and fled from the house.Leo was
frustrated as Kylie might find out the truth, he decided to kill her. Kylie
wanted revenge, she went up the stairs and into her room, she took her
mask and wore it. Is Kyle the masked man? We shall find out.

(MASKED WOMEN?)

Kylie texted Leo asking if they could meet in an abandoned building
near their college. Leo asked why and she said that she had something
important to tell him, Leo took this as his golden opportunity to kill her,
he asked for the time and Kylie said in the evening.In the evening Leo
got to the building first. While he was waiting, Leo felt something
coming his way, he reacted instinctively and dodged a dagger but he
still got a tiny cut on his shoulder. The masked man stood behind him
and said “it's over”.Leo realized that the masked man sounded like a
female and asked “You’re a girl?”.The masked man replied with “Yes,
any problem?”, Leo then said, “Well this is going to be easy”.The
masked woman and Leo ran toward each other and started to fight.

The masked woman pulled out another dagger, she
tried to cut him, Leo dodged and took his knife out, and
started to fight back. Leo side-kicked the masked
women’s head, and she fell to the ground, Leo grabbed
her by her hair and she stabbed his leg. Leo shouted in
pain and punched her face, the mask fell off. When Leo
saw it was Kylie he said “Just as expected”, he took out
the dagger from his leg.
Leo said “You did this to yourself”, as he was about to
kill Kylie, a Molotov hit the ground. Kylie and Leo looked
at the huge flames the Molotov has caused, all of a
sudden something came out from the flames, it was a
tiny item, and it released a lot of smoke. Kylie and Leo
couldn’t see what was happening, someone covered
Kylie’s face, Kylie fainted and as the smoke got lighter,
Leo saw another masked man and he was carrying Kylie.
Leo yelled, “HOW MANY OF YOU ARE THERE?”.The
masked man disappeared in the flames.

Kylie woke up on a bed, she saw the masked man preparing something. She
asked the man “Who are you? Why did you take me here?”.The masked man
said “I do not have any answers to your questions” and Kylie said, “Can you
at least tell me why are you doing this with the mask and all?”.The man
laughed and said, “All good deeds must be done by covering your face these
days”.Kylie replied with “GOOD? SUCH AS KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE?”.The
man hit his table and said “This is what you people don’t understand, the
ones I killed are the real bad guys, they are criminals who give away bribes
and get out scot-free. The crimes they commit aren’t small, it involves a lot
of lives, I’m just cleaning up this country”.Kylie was lost for words, before the
masked man left with his equipment he told Kylie if he doesn’t return before
midnight she has to go check out Leo’s house before she is allowed to go
back to her own house, the man left the place before she could ask any
questions.

Meanwhile, Leo was at home treating his injuries. He was
stressed out about everything, he kept thinking about his
next move, but he doesn’t know anything about the
masked man or his whereabouts. It became night and Kylie
was still waiting for the man to return. Leo was in his
basement arranging his weapons and other items, all of a
sudden the lights started to flicker, Leo took his bow and
went up to have a look.
He saw the masked man sitting on the couch and the man
said: “Hello there”.Leo shot him but missed, the masked
man moved swiftly towards him, Leo kept shooting but the
masked man kept dodging it. When the man got close, he
was about to stab Leo but Leo took an arrow and poked
the man's shoulder before he could do anything. Leo hit
him with the bow and the masked man headbutted him.
Leo fell into the basement. The masked man took out the
arrow from his shoulder. As the man was walking down the
basement, Leo got up and the man kicked him on the
chest, Leo fell to the ground.

(THE SHOWDOWN)

Leo noticed that he had a few boxes filled with all kinds of fireworks and a lot of
gunpowder in the corner. The masked man walked closer to Leo, Leo threw the gunpowder
in his eyes, the masked man couldn’t open his eyes and Leo quickly took a lighter and lit up
a rocket firework toward the man. The rocket flew smack in the middle of the man's thick
and hard mask and exploded, the man flew to the ground as his mask got broken to pieces.
Leo started laughing and said, “WELL THAT WAS A BLAST!”.The man got a cut across his
right eye, he took a deep breath and got up, when Leo saw the man's face he stopped
laughing, he was shocked. He asked “A...Ace?How did you not die?”.Ace replied, “Do you
expect the masked man to go places without a knife in his pocket?”.Leo realized that Ace
had cut the rope and escaped, Ace, asked: “Why did you do this we were like brothers,
should have confronted you when I saw you murder those 3 guys”.Leo said “You don’t
know what it feels like to be misunderstood, laughed at, and looked differently just for
being an orphan. Nothing gave me happiness other than seeing people suffer, I tried to be
good but people still treated me like dirt, so if I can't make people smile, I’ll make them
cry”.Ace yelled “YOU’RE A SADIST, YOU KNOW I LOVED HER AND STILL……” he broke down
and cried.

Leo said “Sorry man had to do it”.Ace ran and choked Leo, Leo kicked Ace,
took a box of gunpowder, hit him with it, and threw the box towards the
stairs of the basement, gunpowder fell all over the place.Ace slapped Leo
and pushed him to the wall, Leo quickly took another box of gunpowder and
threw it on Ace. Leo had a handful of gunpowder and poured it into the box
of fireworks, Ace kicked Leo, and he hit the wall and fell, he became weak
and couldn’t get up.Ace said “Finally, just as I expected good always
wins”.Leo smiled and said “We all pretend to be the heroes on the good side
but always remember, without the Devil, God would lose his worth.” He
held the lighter behind the box of fireworks.Ace felt that he was wasting
time talking and strangled him while Leo was burning the box, the fire got in
and hit the gunpowder. The fireworks started to go off and all the
gunpowder started burning.

The ground started to set on fire as the gunpowder was all over the place.
Fireworks were exploding aimlessly and one of them hit Ace, he fell in pain and all
he could see was Leo on the other side of the basement sitting on the floor as the
whole place got set on fire. Leo laughed and shouted “GOOD GAME MAN, SEE
YOU IN THE NEXT GENERATION FOR A REMATCH” and a roaring fire appeared in
between.Ace felt boxed up as there was nowhere to go and the fire kept
spreading faster, he found it hard to breathe and just sat there with his bloody
right eye and slowly closed his left eye.

(LAST WISH)

It has become midnight and the masked man still was not there. Kylie saw a
bicycle that the man had left her and used to go to Leo’s home. When she
got there she saw the whole house in flames and some people were there
splashing water on it. She didn’t know what to do, she went to her house
and told herself to pretend that everything that happened was just a bad
dream, she saw something in her mailbox. She took a letter out and opened
it, the letter said: “If you’re reading this I am probably gone for good this
time and if you are wondering who I am, it's me the masked man A.K.A Ace,
if my body gets found could you please bury me next to Amelia, I didn’t get
to live with her long enough when I was alive at least let me be with her after
my demise”.The firefighters found 2 burnt bodies in the house and took them
out.

After several months Kylie went to visit Amelia’s and Ace’s graves, she
would go there every day and place a rose on their gravestones. As Kylie
placed a rose on the gravestones as usual she felt like something was
watching her, but it was nothing, she looked at the gravestones and left
with a heavy heart.

(MORALS)

1. Do not be judgemental
2. Treat everyone the same for who they are
3. Never underestimate anyone as they could be showing you the sides
of them that they want you to see
4. Have your friends back
5. Revenge leads us no where
