MESSAGE
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
“Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a
college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to
serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” Marn
Luther King Jr.
We at City Montessori School have always believed that service to humanity is
service to God. We humans have been blessed by the Almighty with the
capability to serve. This service can be manifold and in many forms. Service can
be towards our fellow humans, other living species and environment. Every day
comes with multude of ways we can serve others. Service and humility are the
virtues which not only outshine our own personality but also aid in spreading
peace and love.
CMS, RN(II) campus has always strived for creang global cizens who are
sensive to towards society and environment. In the last quarter, the campus
took up many new projects to serve mankind and nature both. Project ‘Muskaan’
started by the campus was taken up to serve the less fortunate whereas Project
‘Verdancy’ was started to serve the mother nature. Through these projects, the
campus aims to sensize the people towards their surroundings and make them
thankful for all the blessings bestowed on them by the almighty.
Mahatma Gandhi said that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the
service of others. So let us be thankful to the Lord for enabling us to serve
others, touching their souls and making this journey of life beauful for all.

SUSTAINABILITY, IT’S A LIFESTYLE
Sustainable development refers to the use of natural and non-renewable
resources in a way that it meets the human requirements while also preserving
them at the same me so that it can also meet the demands of the future
generaons. It’s the need of the hour to promote sustainable development in
order to help survive the present and future generaons on the planet earth.
Sustainable development is a great way to conserve our natural resources by
slowly changing our approach towards the use and development of
technologies. Obviously, we must use the resources to meet the basic needs of
life such as food, energy, water and employment. However, every resource we
use must be used in a sustainable manner so that it never goes exnct and hence
does not lead to the exncon of living beings.
There are four principal ways of sustainable development including
environmental protecon, a stable economic development, preservaon of
natural resources, and social development and evoluon. Everyone living on this
planet has the right to enjoy all the resources and live in a safe and healthy
environment. For this, we need to focus on our environmental issues and help
reduce them in order to live a healthy and happier life on this planet.
With the aim to bring about behavioral changes towards sustainable pracces in
the mindsets of the learners our campus started a project named ‘Verdant ’. It
will help the students understand how their decisions and acons affect the
environment, build knowledge and skills necessary to address complex
environmental issues, as well as acons they can take to keep their environment
healthy and sustainable for the future.

MRS. GUNEET KAUR
Pre Primary Incharge
“EVERY CHILD IS A DIFFERENT KIND OF FLOWER. ALL TOGETHER THEY MAKE THIS WORLD A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN.”
The mission of pre primary educaon is to promote children’s prerequisites for
growth, development and learning.
The purpose of pre primary educaon is to groom children into ethically
responsible members of the society and to provide them with knowledge and
skills needed in life.
The educaonal properes of pre primary educaon are characterized by inter-
acon with peers and educators, through which children improve their use of
language and social skills, and start to develop logical and reasoning skills.
Children are also introduced to alphabecal and mathemacal concepts, and
encouraged to explore their surrounding world and environment.
Supervised gross motor acvies (i.e. physical exercises through games and
other acvies) and play-based acvies can be used as learning opportunies,
to promote social interacons with peers and to develop skills, autonomy and
school readiness.
The best method to teach pre primary and primary students is ‘DIY’ which is
known as “Do it yourself method”. It has come like a “new” movement in the
classrooms and in the homes as well as it ensures the physical, mental and
emoonal growth of the child.
Last but not least, the best method of teaching kids is –
• Create children friendly environment
• Use Playway method.
Learning by playing is the best for small kids.
