TALENT HUNT
“Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude”
A Talent Hunt Competition for Class XI was organised in the Senior Section of Station
Road Campus, in which students from different sections of Class XI participated in
the various events like Quotation Writing Competition, Poster Making Competition,
Speech Competition, Slogan Writing Competition, etc.
Our Respected Principal, Mrs Deepali Gautam congratulated the children for
bringing laurels to the campus and wished them Good Luck for the future.
VIRTUAL SPARKS CONTEST 2021(FOURTH EDITION) AND
SHRI RAM CHANDRA SHUKLA VAADVIVAAD PRATIYOGITA
SPARK CONTEST aims at fostering entrepreneurial culture and ethical leadership in young learners by engaging
them in multifarious thought-provoking and decision-making activities.
The Contest was organized in three phases.
7th August 2021 – Spark Contest Phase 1 (Submission of Videos, Audios and Photographs)
13th August 2021 – Spark Contest Phase 2 (Online Competitions)
14th August 2021 – Spark Contest Phase 3 (Declaration of Results)
Ekshita Soni of Class III D secured third position in Mask Making Event, Gungun Chauhan of Class VIII D
secured third position in Face Painting Event and Ruzainah Khan of Class I C got a special mention in Disney
Fancy Dress Event. Respected Principal Ma’am congratulated the students for bringing laurels to the campus.
SPARDHA INTERNATIONAL 2021
This event was organized by CMS, RDSO Campus wherein students of
CMS, Station Road Campus brought laurels to the campus. Argrima
Chauhan of Class IV won Silver Medal in Yoga, Arav Mehrotra of Class V
won Silver Medal in Talk A Thon, Vaishnavi Chaurasia won Consolation
Prize in Sit-Ups and Senior Section got the Consolation Prize in Skipping.
Our Respected Principal, Mrs Deepali Gautam congratulated the
children for bringing laurels to the campus and wished them Good Luck
for the future.
INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP DAY
International Friendship Day was celebrated by the students of the Junior Section during
morning assembly on 2nd August. The assembly began with the School Prayer followed by
the School Pledge. A Thought and Virtue based on FRIENSHIP was shared with the students.
A SWEET FRIENDSHIP REFRESHES THE SOUL …..A presentation was shared with the children
teaching them the values of friendship . A friend is one that knows you as you are,
understands where you have been, accepts what you have become and still, gently allows
you to grow. The teachers instilled in the minds of the children the importance of friendship
and explained that it is truly difficult to find a TRUE FRIEND in life.
Hiroshima Day is observed on August 6 every year. It aims to promote peace politics against the war. This day
is a reminder of the bombing attack on Hiroshima by the United States during World War II. Remains of the
Hiroshima Prefectural Industry Promotion Building, known as the Atomic-Bomb Dome.
A special assembly was conducted in the memory of this great day making the children aware that war only causes
death, destruction and loss. The assembly began with the School Prayer seeking the blessings of the Almighty. It
was followed by the School Pledge. A Thought and Virtue were presented by the students showing the importance
of virtues in our life.
Few videos were shared in the assembly showing the destruction caused on that day and even after 75 years, the
effect and the danger can be still felt. People all over the world do not want another Hiroshima but desire peace.
The SDG goals were discussed in connection to this. The vision of United Nations 2030 is a great step towards the
promotion of peace and for the welfare of mankind in every way possible.
A discussion also took place in the class. Students enthusiastically put forth their views on this day and pledged that
only WE CHILDREN WHO ARE THE FUTURE CITIZENS OF THE WORLD, can take steps toward promotion of
peace and definitely do not want another Hiroshima.
TASTE BUD
DAY Taste buds are found on our tongue and they allow us to
experience tastes that are sweet, salty, sour and bitter.
A special Assembly was conducted on 7/8/2021 in the Pre
Primary Section of Station Road Campus to make children
aware of one of the most important sense organs- Tongue.
Children were told about various things that are sweet in taste.
They were also told that sweet things like chocolate are an
instant energy booster but they should not eat too many sweets
as in the long run they are not good for health . Children were
told that they should always brush their teeth after having
anything sweet. Children spoke about the importance of being
sweet and kindness makes our life sweet.
They made instant delicacies like biscuit
toppings, choco-sandwich. Children enjoyed
making yummy sweet delicacies.
NATIONAL HANDLOOM DAY
HANDLOOMS are Dying – and It's Because of
Our Failure to Protect Them
Students were explained about the importance
of the day and why it is celebrated, with the
help of a YouTube video. The teacher
explained the history of this day and students
delivered speeches on National Handloom
Day. Thereafter a small ppt was shown to raise
awareness for the same.
With stress on vocal for handmade products to
strengthen efforts for a self reliant India, our
little kids were involved in making tea coasters
with the help of jute rope.
CMS Station Road Campus organized Mother's Club
for the mothers of our dear students. It was a live interaction
between mothers and the teacher thereby bringing home
much closer to school and building school - home partnership.
15 Mothers of Junior Section actively took part in the Tie and
Dye activity which was conducted by the Art and craft teacher
of the campus Dr. Aradhana Sarin.
The session began with the school prayer followed by the
demonstration of tie and dye technique of painting on a
fabric. This is also called 'Baandhni' in Rajasthan. Mothers
were told about the origin of this traditional technique and
how they can revive any old cloth and give a new look using
this amazing technique. Mothers painted a handkerchief,
dupattas, old t -shirts etc. and thoroughly
enjoyed the activity.
This is to inform you that City Montessori School, Station
Road Campus has created a 'Mother's Club' for the mothers of our
dear students. It opens new doors for mothers to interact more with
the teachers in a healthy and pleasing environment thereby building
school - home partnership much stronger.
It is said, that music is life itself. It helps in stimulating the part of
brain that is responsible for reading, Math and emotional
development. With keeping this thought in mind, Station Road
Campus organised the third session of the club on 7th August,
2021. The session was conducted by Ms. Neetu Mishra, our Dance
teacher. She took up a very engaging and enriching session on
Dance. The session began with the school prayer which formed a
divine base for the programme. It was followed by a fun Zumba
workout that was enjoyed by all mothers immensely. The next
activity was Punjabi Folk Dance which filled everyone with joy. All
the mothers enjoyed a lot. Over all it was an entertaining
experience for them.

Parent teacher meeting opens a communication channel.
Online virtual meeting was organised for the children of Primary section. The teachers
apprised the parents about the Experiential learning project, the date of submission and
the rubrics formulated to assess the project. Regularity and punctuality while attending
the online classes was also discussed with the parents. Parents were highly appreciative
of the efforts of the school and the teachers in providing education to the children.
Parents in good numbers attended the virtual meeting.
INTER HOUSE SKIPPING
COMPETITION
When was the last time you used a jump rope? Chances are that even your most recent
memories are from only your school days. We say we can bring back the same amount of
fun by adding skipping rope cardio into our home-workout sessions using jump ropes for
physical exercise and cardio we strengthen our lower and upper body.
Keeping this in mind, Station Road campus organized a VIRTUAL INTER HOUSE
SKIPPING COMPETITION on 6th August,2021. The students of the Junior and Senior
section participated in large numbers with great joy. And the results really amazed them as
Peace House stood as the winner. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and were
enthusiastic to participate in the future as well.
A special Assembly was conducted by the
Junior Class to mark World Elephant Day. The
day started with Prayer followed by Pledge,
Virtue and Thought for the Day. Importance
of this Day was explained by the students.
World elephant day was celebrated to create
and increase the awareness about the harms of
poaching faced by elephants & danger to their
habitat. A video was also shown highlighting
the need & importance of this day.
Lion-- The regal hunter, the best feline is the symbol of courage.
World Lion Day is observed across the globe on August 10 every year
and aims to raise awareness and gather support for his conservation.
A Special Assembly was conducted by the children of the Primary
Section on the occasion of World Lion Day.Teachers apprised the
children about the importance of lions in balancing the ecosystem.
Children gave speeches on the lion.They took an oath to help to save the
wildlife."Let us save our Mother Earth by protecting lions from getting
extinct ."

Mother Teresa, also called St.Teresa of Calcutta, will always be
remembered for her contribution to society. To commemorate the birth
anniversary of Mother Teresa , Special Assembly was conducted in the
Pre Primary and Primary Section of Station Road Campus . Children
were told about Saint Teresa through power point presentations . Students
of Montessori and Nursery were dressed up as Mother Teresa .Students
spoke about the life history of Mother Teresa . They were told that-Be
faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.” “We
shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.”
Children learnt that service to humanity is the greatest gift we can give to
the world .

Sports and games are an integral part of our life and have become a way of life for a healthy and fit India. Sports play a pivotal role in the makeup of a
young athlete. Where else can a young impressionable youth learn values like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence and sacrifice .
The National Sports Day in India is celebrated on 29 August, every year on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand . This day marks
the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh, the hockey player who won gold medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1932 and 1936. On the
occasion of National Sports Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 'Fit India Campaign'. It is a nationwide campaign and it aims to
encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives. In order to keep our children physically fit and active National Sports
Day was celebrated on 27/8/2021 in the Pre- Primary Section of City Montessori School, Station Road Campus . Children of Pre Primary were told that
sports are best ways to stay fit and healthy . The children learnt a lot about true sportsmanship and the value of playing games. Tiny tots of Station Road
Campus sent many videos playing different indoor games with their family members . Children were told that this year has been a golden year in the
history of sports for India as many athlete won prizes in Olympic games and brought laurels to the country . Children told about their favourite sport and
enjoyed their day.
In the words of Louis Zamperini “That’s one thing you learn in sports. You don’t give up, you fight to the finish.”
" Toys are children's words and play is their language."
Each child has a toy which they take as their closest companion. Toys play a pivotal part in a child's life .Toys help the kids
to express their sentiments as well help them feel secure . Playing with toys develops various skills like fine motor and
gross skills , language development and social skills among children .
Keeping this in mind Toy Day was celebrated in the Pre Primary Section of Station Road Campus on 10/8/2021. Students
showed their favourite toy to their friends and had a great time telling the features of their favourite toy . They learnt to
express their feelings through show and tell . In order to inculcate the virtue of caring and sharing , the teacher told them
that they should share their toys with their friends and siblings . They should play together . Students of Nursery presented a
dance on Toy Song . Various activities were conducted in all the classes to enhance the creative skills of the learners.
Students of Montessori made rattlers . Students of Nursery made hand puppet in the shape of a teddy bear and students
of Kindergarten made various things out of clay . It was a fun filled day for our tiny tots. The children had big smiles on
their faces.
World Organ Donation Day
August 13 of every year is observed as World Organ Donation Day aimed at raising awareness about the importance of organ
donation and encourage people to take a pledge for the same. One person can save up to eight lives from chronic illness by
pledging to donate their heart, kidney, pancreas, lungs, liver, intestines, hands, face, tissues, bone marrow, and stem cells.
A special assembly was conducted for the same. The school prayer was followed by the school pledge. A thought and virtue
were shared highlighting the Virtue-HELPFULNESS. The children through a presentation gave information on the WORLD
ORGAN DONATION DAY. The importance of donating organs and how this saved so many human lives was shared with the
other children. The students also took a vow to spread awareness towards this great human act so that more and more people
can be involved in donating their organs after death.
World Photography Day, which is observed on August
19 every year, is a day to celebrate the magic of
cameras and photography.
The importance of World Photography Day is to create
awareness, share ideas and encourage individuals in this
field. The origin of the day lies in the invention of the
Daguerrotype, a photographic process developed by
Frenchmen Lois Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore
Niepce in 1837. Photographs represent memory and
those memories are etched in our minds forever. In the
early times, the main objective of the invention of
photography was to enhance communication techniques
between people.
A Special Assembly was organised in the Pre Primary and
Primary Section where children were told about its origin .
Children shared the pictures clicked by them on this occasion
and spoke about the memories associated with those pictures.
Young people are on the frontlines of the struggle to build a better future for all. The COVID-19
pandemic has highlighted the dire need for the kind of transformational change they seek – and
young people must be full partners in that effort.”
International Youth Day offers a chance to raise awareness of the need to ensure the
engagement and participation of the youth. It is celebrated and observed every year on
12 August across the world. The day is marked for giving new initiatives and action taken
by the youth. Also, on this day, the government and citizens come together to bring
attention to the problems faced by the younger generation.
This day was celebrated by the students of the Junior
section. Children presented their views on the
importance of youth and how they are essential for a
better tomorrow . A SLOGAN WRITING competition
was also organized on the topic IMPORTANCE OF
YOUTH FOR A NATION.
ONLINE HONOURING CEREMONY OF CAMPUS TOPPERS
"Success stories make the noise for those who work hard in silence." - With this beautiful thought and virtue on Success, the Honouring Ceremony of
our Campus Toppers, Palak Tewari (97.8%) and Ishita Chandra (97.8%) in the ICSE and Sachin Srivastava (99.75%) in the ISC Board Examination was
held on 12th August, 2021. The ceremony began with everyone seeking the blessings of The Almighty God with the School Prayer. This was followed
by the Pledge, and the Thought on Success. A very inspirational talk on Success was also delivered on this occasion.
Our Principal Respected Mrs. Deepali Gautam congratulated the toppers and their mothers for achieving this remarkable and glorious feat. Ma'am
appreciated the students, who, despite the pandemic, were able to give such an extraordinary performance. Ma'am stated that these students have
a plethora of opportunities lying before them and this achievement is just a beginning of their 'journey of laurels'. Ma'am guided the students to
continue to hold on to their values, remain honest and never drift from their path.
Our Former Principal Respected Mrs. Vera Hajela congratulated the toppers for their stupendous and exemplary achievement and appreciated the
efforts of their parents. Our Former Vice-Principal Respected Mrs. Padma Dheer also honoured the students and appreciated them for focusing on
their goals and for their consistency of purpose. Ma’am then extended her greetings to the parents of the meritorious students who had worked hard
throughout the year and got the desired results.
The toppers of Station Road Campus also put forward their Strategy of Preparation and extended their gratitude to their Principal, family, and faculty
of City Montessori School Station Road Campus. The teacher guardians of the respective toppers also bestowed their blessings on the students and
wished them the very 'best of luck' for their future.
Finally, the resplendent ceremony was concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the blessings of the Incharge of Senior Section Respected Mrs. Anvita
Verma.
