APRIL 24-28, 2023 HIGHLIGHTS AND SUMMARY HARM ZE R O I am. I will. We, together.
MESSAGE FROM THE CEO During the inaugural opening of GMEC AND GNPD's SHEista Week HARM ZE R O I am. I will. We, together. This week marks the Annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work with the theme “ A Safe and Healthy Working Environment is a Fundamental Principle and Right at Work”. In celebration of this global event, we have inaugurated this GMEC|GNPD SHEista Week, which aims to raise awareness and promote a safe, healthy and environmentally-responsible workplace in creating a culture that would prevent work-related deaths, illnesses and injuries and recognize new and emerging occupational risks caused by technological advancements, social and organization changes. This week-long event includes engaging activities and informative sessions but the highlight of which is the launching of GMEC|GNPD commitment of ZERO HARM and our tagline commitment "I am. I will. We, together." Our goal is to create a culture of safety that empowers every worker to take ownership of their safety and to work together to achieve our shared goal of zero harm. So, what does our new tagline mean? "I am" means that each of us is responsible for our own safety. We must be committed to CHAMPION the call, in order to achieve the ZERO HARM goal. "I will" represents everyone's commitment to CONTRIBUTE to the goal's achievement. We will speak up and report safety concerns, follow safe work practices, and take responsibility for our actions. And finally, "We, together" indicates that TEAMWORK is essential to effectively achieve our goal and objectives. We must work together to identify hazards, implement controls, and support each other in our goal of zero harm. So, what can you do to support our zero harm goal? First, be aware of the risks associated with your work and take the necessary steps to protect yourself and your colleagues. Second, speak up and report safety concerns. Don't be afraid to ask questions or seek clarification if you are unsure about something. Third, follow safe work practices and take responsibility for your actions. And finally, support your colleagues in their commitment to SHE. In conclusion, our new tagline, "I am. I will. We, together," represents our shared commitment to SHE and our goal of achieving Zero Harm. We can only achieve this goal if we work together, take ownership of our safety, and support each other in our shared goal. Thank you team GMEC and GNPD, let's work together to incorporate our core values to excellently achieve our Zero Harm goal and create a safer, healthier, environmentally friendly and more productive workplace for everyone. We aim to integrate our company values and commit to achieving the ZERO HARM goal of GMEC and GNPD. This tagline expresses the dedication of both sites to the ZERO HARM goal and ensuring a safe workplace by proactively and strategically controlling occurrences caused by any occupational safety and health and environmental issues. In celebration of the annual World Day for Safety and Health at work, which takes place every 28th day of April, the International Labour Organization has released the event's theme entitled "A Safe and Healthy Working Environment is a Fundamental Principle and Right at Work". This theme will be adopted as the 2023 GMEC and GNPD SHEista week, which aims to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility in the workplace through engaging activities and informative sessions.
