I diligently engage in the observance and hands-on facilitation of the production process at the manufacturing site, meticulously adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process. During my last weeks of internships, production team were busy as the production of products were running rapidly to upgrade and refill the decreasing stocks especially for Prosteomax as the products were higly requested by customers. Ma n u f a c t u ri n g Process✧*I hope that the experience gained can help me to explore many challenges and face the future of healthcare management and also the technology used in this healthcare industry. I also anticipate that this journey will equip me with the requisite proficiency to navigate through the intricacies of the cuttingedge technologies prevalent within the healthcare sector, thereby enabling me to make meaningful contributions towards shaping its future trajectory." After that we proceed to finish the preparation of the products. As I help the production team for my last responsibility as the interns under the production department during our last week at Ganulab (M) Sdn Bhd, I felt very grateful to have this wonderful experience. Understanding the properties, behaviors, and processing of materials is fundamental. This includes knowledge of material structures, phase transitions, and the influence of temperature and pressure on material properties. It was to ensures the process run smoothly. Manufacturing often requires precise control of processes. Control theory concepts, including feedback mechanisms and automation, are crucial for maintaining consistency and quality in production. Op e r a ti n g M a c h i n e ✧ * In the execution of my duties, I proficiently operate a shrink wrap machine, skillfully employing its mechanisms to envelop and securely seal the products as an integral part of the production process. This hands-on involvement in the sealing process exemplifies my practical experience and contribution to the smooth and efficient workflow within the production environment. Operational of this machine also followed the SOP & Work Instruction (WI) of the machine that has been set by the company to ensure the machine’s durability and sustainability. As an integral step in the preparatory phase of the synthesis process, I employ a precision balance to meticulously measure and record the mass of the raw materials, ensuring accurate and controlled measurements for the subsequent phases of production and effective synthesis process, marking a pivotal aspect of my professional growth throughout my internship journey. Produc t s H a n d l i n g ✧* 1. Fill in the request form of products as stated by Sales & Marketing department as the orders will come through them. The request form products will be filled in by inserting the batch number of products needed by the customers. The batch number was chosen by Production Executive according to products shelf life and its expiring date. 2. As an intern in production department, I am responsible to take out the stated batch number of the products in the finished products storage room. One of the vital activities that I’ve come across during this internships journey was products handling. These were the procedures of products handling especially used for taking out products that were needed by customers.
Produc t s H a n d l i n g ✧* All of these steps were done according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) outlined in the shared folder prepared by the Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (RAQA). By diligently following these instructions, products quality can be maintained, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and meeting customer expectations. 3. Proceed with the next step, I will request the approval of Production Executive and his signature to ensure the batch number of the products aligned with the batch number in the form. 4. The next procedure is to paste required sticker on the products. For direct sales, the stickers needed will be Halal & KKM sicker while for international sales, the stickers are CE mark & Halal stickers. 5. Inserting the products into a plastic that were provided at the final packaging room, then fixed the plastics before sealing the products using the shrink wrap machine. To maintain products quality, sealing process were done meticulously according to its SOP. 6. After finished sealed the products, preparation of products delivery will be done by both production department and Sales & Marketing department. The products will be put into a box/ courier parcel bag according to its size. To ensure product's safety, proper handling by sales & Marketing Interns will be done. In example, they will use a suitable numbers of bubble wrapping plastic on the products.
As our products need to achieve the medical grade as it falls under ISO13485 which is the certification for further validation of our commitment in quality management. Sterilization is a crucial part in ensuring the quality of the products will meet the standards in the medical industry. Initiating the sterilization process for our products involves meticulous coordination with certified sterilization facilities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Therefore, to meet those standards for medical device, our products will be sent for sterilization at Bizzworth Gammard by the production team or production executive. During this semester of internships, I once followed my supervisor to sent the products for sterilization at Bizzworth Gammard (Sinar Gamma) at Bangi. Produc t s S t e ri l i z a ti o n✧*
F i l i ng & Procurement✧* In addition to my core responsibilities, I play an integral role in the administrative and logistical functions within the production department. Specifically, I handle tasks related to filing and procurement, contributing to the seamless functioning of the department's day-to-day operations. In the realm of filing, I meticulously organize and maintain essential documents, ensuring easy accessibility and retrieval when needed. This includes creating a systematic and efficient filing system that not only enhances organizational efficiency but also facilitates compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements. Moreover, I am actively involved in procurement activities tailored to the unique needs of the production department. This involves liaising with suppliers, obtaining quotations, and coordinating the acquisition of necessary materials and resources. By managing the procurement process, I contribute to cost-effectiveness and timely availability of essential supplies, thereby minimizing disruptions in the production workflow. This role requires a keen eye for detail, effective communication with vendors, and adherence to budgetary considerations. In essence, my involvement in filing and procurement transcends the routine administrative tasks, playing a vital role in the optimization of the production department's overall efficiency.
F i l i ng & Procurement✧* These are some of the work examples regarding filing & procurements This multifaceted approach reflects my commitment to ensuring that the department operates smoothly on both organizational and operational fronts, ultimately contributing to the overarching success of the production department.
At the end of every month, stock take will be held as the production team will handle all the finished products and stocks in the company including raw material used, consumables, glassware and etc. All of items used under production will be stock take and I diligently help production team in performing stock take especially for the products as there are abundant of stocks in the inventory. Production Executive will print out the list of items needed to be stock take from the system. Each items that needed to be stock take will be assigned to production team including me which will usually perform stock take on company’s products which is Prosteomax and Granumas, I also asked to count the stock for GDPMD (Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices) products such as face mask, hand sanitizer, and etc. While handling hundreds of products, I am able to improve my numeracy skills as well as time management skills because the work needs to be done in a certain time, therefore I have divided my time wisely to avoid any deficiencies while updating the data of the stocks in the system. This dynamic task involves collaborating closely with the production staff to design, implement, and analyze experiments aimed at optimizing processes, enhancing product quality, and identifying areas for operational improvement. By actively engaging with the production team on-site, I will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and innovative methodologies in real-world scenarios. This handson approach not only facilitates a seamless integration of theoretical concepts into practical applications but also allows for immediate feedback and adjustments based on the intricacies of the production environment. This expanded job scope reflects a commitment to innovation and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the production domain. Twice in a week, following the schedule stated, we will visits new Orthopedic and Dental Doctors/ Surgeon or will do some follow up on the products used at the hospitals. This meticulous procedure involves comparing the measurements of a machine or instrument against known standards to detect and correct any deviations. Through calibration, errors in measurement are identified and adjustments are made to ensure that the machine performs within acceptable tolerances. This process is particularly important in fields such as manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, and scientific research, where even slight inaccuracies can lead to significant consequences. By regularly calibrating machines, organizations can uphold quality standards, improve product reliability, and comply with regulatory requirements. Therefore, as a medical device manufacturer, calibrating the machine before being utilized are crucial to ensure that medical grade and standards of the products can be maintain at the best.

Prevent excessive exposure to ionizing radiation. Comply with regulatory guidelines and legal requirements regarding radiation safety. Detect any anomalies or leaks in the XRD machine's shielding or safety mechanisms. As an intern under production departments, I will only observe on how QC Executive & QC interns monitor the radiation of XRD Machines using the Survey meter.
R A Q A Do c ume nt a tio n༄ؘ ۪۫۫Change Request Forms ( RAQA Department); If staff or Executive wants to make a change of certain forms in their departments, the process must be done through RAQA Executive. Then new form will be provided and the person in charge (The one who made changes) must take the action to use the new form and the previous document will be discarded. Obsolete Document; During this internships, I get to experience on how to organize the obsolete documents by helping RAQA departments arranging their documents. WI (work instructions) & SOP Document; Documents regarding WI & SOP will be review by RAQA departments according to its specified due date.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS Spray drying process During spray drying process, I gained insights on viscosity of the slurry products. This procedures were done to check the viscosity of the slurry to ensure the quality of the products. - Viscosity meter : A scientific instrument designed to measure the viscosity of a fluid. Viscosity refers to a fluid's resistance to flow, and a viscosity meter quantifies this property, often by assessing the time it takes for a fluid to flow through a specific apparatus or by evaluating the force required for a defined flow rate. This measurement is crucial in various industries, including chemistry, manufacturing, and quality control, as it helps characterize and control the flow properties of liquids. Therefore, measuring the viscosity of the products before the spray drying process is crucial. - Peristaltic pump: A peristaltic pump is a type of positive displacement pump that operates by compressing and relaxing a flexible tube or hose to create a pulsating flow of fluid. The pump typically consists of rollers or shoes that compress the tube, forcing the fluid to move through the tubing in a series of discrete pulses. This design is advantageous for applications where precise and gentle fluid handling is required, as the pumped fluid only comes into contact with the tubing, avoiding contamination of the pump components. Peristaltic pumps find use in various industries, such as medical, pharmaceutical, and food processing.
