• MUET is administered three times a year namely Session 1,
Session 2 & Session 3 (March, July & November)
• Consists of 4 Papers based on FOUR skills

WHY MUET?
• An entry and graduate requirement
• To prepare students for the English language used in the
tertiary level.
• To ensure students are able to pursue professional
courses in the university based on the results achieved.
• To boost students confidence to communicate in English
both in verbal and written language.

• What is MUET?
1. A placement test for any Malaysian students intending to
further studies to local IPTAs and IPTS.
•2. Pre-U Preparatory English Test
• 3. There is no passing or failing marks only bands , Band
1.0 until Band 5 +.
•5. Most universities still accept Band 1&2 for entrance into
universities but the students are required to score Band 3-
Band 4 to graduate.
