Reception Continued Program Keynote Speaker Latresa K. Billings, PharmD, BCPS Patti Romeril, Pharm.D. Latresa K. Billings, PharmD, BCPS is a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator and PGY1 Residency Coordinator at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) in Dallas, TX. After completing her BS degree in Environmental Health Science with an emphasis in chemistry at the University of Georgia in 1995, Dr. Billings received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy in Tucson, AZ in May 2002. She completed an Advanced Practice General Pharmacy residency in 2003 through collaborative training experiences provided by Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy/Dallas VA Medical Center. She joined the pharmacy department at UTSW in 2003 as a Clinical Staff pharmacist prior to becoming a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, while providing services to multiple committees within the large academic health system. She supported the pharmacy department in the initiation of an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, currently serving as a primary preceptor for Advanced Internal Medicine-Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. For pharmacy students, Dr. Billings serves as the preceptor for institutional and advanced practice rotations, as an adjunct faculty member in the position of Clinical Assistant Professor for several institutions. Dr. Billings served as the Educational Chair (2013-2015) and President (2015-2016) for the local Dallas chapter of Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Billings recently served two consecutive terms as the Secretary for Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP). Currently, she is the Immediate Past-President of TSHP, beginning her 4th year of a four-year commitment, where she served has served on the Board of Directors for 10 years. She is a Texas representative for the American Society of HealthSystems Pharmacists House of Delegates. As a former Worthy Chief Councilor of the Alpha Nu chapter, she has continued contributions to the Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity as an alumnus brother, always heeding to the principle motto that "each one needs the help of the others". When she is not traveling, volunteering, or enjoying time with her family and friends, Dr. Billings provides relief pharmacist services at Walmart and Sam’s Club Pharmacies across the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex area, recently passing her 19th year anniversary of service in January 2022. 2006 Paul G.
