Newport World Resorts Executive Chef Godfrey Laforteza has been at the helm of signature restaurant Casa Buenas since it opened in 2020. Along with his award-winning culinary team, Chef Godfrey has developed and perfected the restaurant’s unique Filipino-Spanish menu.
The focus on local ingredients and heirloom recipes elevate Casa Buenas’ standing among the Metro’s most discerning gourmands. Chef Godfrey earned his Culinary Intensive Certification at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, USA. He has amassed over 23 years of culinary experience, 11 years of which as an Executive Chef, having worked and trained in various kitchens around the world, including the USA, Hong Kong, France, Japan, Denmark, and Indonesia.
