The Asian School, Dehradun bagged the trophy by bea ng the Modern School, Delhi in the finals
by a huge margin of 39 points.
Dussehra Celebrations at a Glance
I n order to keep the cultural values prevailing among the youngsters the religious fes val of Dussehra
was celebrated on 05 of October, 2022 in the school campus with zest and zeal.
Two li le ones guised as Rama and Lakshmana performed the Pooja along with the Principal and a priest,
in the presence of the Vice President Mr. Madanjeet, Direct Mr. Gaganjeet, staff members and the
students. This was followed by the customary 'Ravan Dehan'- burning of the effigies of Ravana,
Kumbhkaran and Meghnatha which were installed, that marked the victory of good over evil, the spirit
that the day signifies.The school organised a fete on the occasion. There were stalls of eatables, games
and gi s and decora on items for Diwali. The children had their fill relishing the delicacies and enjoying
the games and purchases.The celebra on culminated with the burs ng of crackers with great
enthusiasm and the realisa on of the spirit of the day. As it had been drizzling and it began to rain heavily
late in the evening we must say that we received ' the showers of blessing '.

given?
Answer: “To be very honest, I never really thought that I was fit for that role,
I researched about my role, enquired about my du es and started working

Answer: “There was this football match we won against Greenhall in CBSE
Sahodaya. My team mates worked really hard for it and all our hard work
paid off when we received the Winner’s trophy for it. It was a memorable

Answer:”When I was selected as a Captain and my name was announced
there was a brief moment when I couldn't believe it was actually happening.
I will never forget the experiences I had as a captain. The respect gained the
hard-work I put in and all the results I achieved.”

Ques on: What are you most passionate about? Who has inspired you the
most?
Answer: Pain ng is my passion, I started pain ng when I was just 5 years old
and have par cipated in numerous art compe ons and have been a
winner in quite a few too. Mo va on from Swami Vivekanda has always
kept me inspired to stay calm in all situa ons, i.e., self-control, and to move on
with courage, acceptance, tolerance and honesty within myself.

Ques ons: What would you wish to share with us about yourself?
Answer: I am from U arakhand. I am proud of being a student of such a
pres gious school. I play many sports. But there's one sport which I have
learnt on my own and that is – Calisthenics. My dream is to one day perform
in the WORLD CALISTHENICS CHAMPIONSHIP and get an interna onal
ranking. I wish to represent my country at least in one record in the Guinness
Book of World Records, in the field of Calisthenics.

Answer: “I'd say that I am a much admired person not only by my parents,
siblings but also by my friends & teachers. I am basically a happy person
some mes even in situa on I should not for I believe that life is for moving
on, learning, growing and crea ng happiness. My area of interest lies in
playing flute. I thank my school for all the encouragement and apprecia on.

Ques on: What would you men on if we talk about your strength, goals and
personal achievements?
Answer: “Being passionate, ambi ous and systema c are my strengths. My
hobbies are to play Tabla, listening to music, coding, cycling and playing
sports like badminton and basketball. My aim is to pursue B.Tech in
Computer Science from IIT (Hyderabad). My personal achievement so far that
I am most proud of is performing solo in VIRASAT FESTIVAL two mes in a row”.

I cannot ask for a be er experience than being an Asianite. I have developed
incredible friendships being here. The life at Asian has encouraged me to
develop new life skills and passion in fields of arts, sports, and personality
development. The close-knit atmosphere here has created an environment
where I feel safe, valued and open to new experiences. I have become a much
more confident, enthusias c, and happy person while being at Asian.

My bond with this school was formed before I was born, when my parents
used to turn up to a end my brother's curricular ac vi es. I entered the
school premises holding the hand of my brother in PKG and in no me every

The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Da a, Principal, The Asian
School. The prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were the Vice President, The Asian School -
Mr. Madanjeet Singh, Director-Mr. Gaganjyot, Head senior School-Mr. Mukesh Nangia, Head Middle
School-Ms. Prachi Mehrotra ,coaches from par cipa ng schools ,the officia ng referees, the staff and the
students of The Asian School. All the matches were exhilara ng to watch and received much cheering.

For the Closing ceremony on the 04 of October 2022, the Chief Guest was Mrs. Naina Dhillon, Principal
Ecole Globale Interna onal Girls’ School.
The final match was played between KV-ITBP Dehradun and The Asian School Dehradun , in which The
Asian School won by a fabulous 65 Vs 50.
Hardik Yadav of The Asian School was declared the 'Most Valuable Player' of the tournament and Kailash
Chand from KV-ITBP got the ‘Most Promising Player’ award.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of all the teams and congratulated the winning team.
